A/N: So this is a sort of modern version of Katara and Avatar Aang trying to make it in the big city! I hope you enjoy and feel free to review!
"Aang, get up. You're going to be late for work again!" Katara yelled from the kitchen, where she was making French toast for breakfast.
She heard a loud thump coming from their bedroom, a few moments later, Katara heard him walking in.
"I'm here, what's for breakfast?" he moaned, shuffling next to her.
"Fall out of the bed again?" Katara asked, glancing at her tired mate.
"Yeah… you didn't answer my question, Katara. What's for breakfast?" He tried again.
Katara looked at him and handed him a plate with French toast on it, drowning in maple syrup.
"French toast for you. I already ate." She told him, and hurried to the bathroom to fix her hair and makeup.
Aang smiled hungrily and dug in his breakfast. It took about four minutes to finish it off and drink all of his coffee.
Next, he was off to the bedroom to get changed, to find his wife searching for her makeup bag.
"Looking for this?" Aang asked, picking up the small bag and throwing it to Katara.
She caught it in mid air and walked past him, mumbling a thank you.
Aang smiled to himself and changed into a nice suit. When he was done, Aang traveled to the bathroom and wrapped his arms around his wife's waist, alerting her on accident.
"AH! Aang, you almost gave me a heart attack!" she said, breathing heavily and holding her open hand on her chest, the other held a hairbrush.
"That's what I love most about you." He said in a low voice, rewrapping his arms around her.
"That I get scared easily?" She guessed, and pecked his cheek, then swatted his hands away, "Go wash off your face, baby, your completely covered in syrup."
"I wouldn't be if you didn't so much on my breakfast." He complained, picking up a washcloth and running it under warm water.
"Just be glad I make you breakfast, what would you be eating if I wasn't here?" Katara asked him, a sly smile spreading across her lips.
Aang looked at her and threw the cloth in the hamper, "I don't know, a frozen hotdog maybe?" he said.
"Very funny, Aang I have to go now, can you handle getting yourself to work and back home all by yourself?" she questioned sarcastically.
Aang rubbed his head full of hair, "Uh… I can try, if you want me to. I'll even pick up Bumi and Kya from their pre school." He told her.
"Good, make sure Bumi doesn't forget to bring his lunchbox home, last time he forgot it, he didn't have lunch the next day." She said, already grabbing her purse.
Her husband followed her out and put her jacket on her. He even walked her to her blue minivan.
"Bye, sweetie, remember to drive safely, because you're paying the bill for it this time." Aang reminded, giving Katara a smooch before going home to grab his brief case.
When he got to his doorstep, he saw a pair of bright blue eyes staring up at him. A baby was left at his door.
He looked around and decided that the person, who dropped off the baby, did not want it, and he didn't want it ether. Therefore, he picked up the baby, and put it on his neighbor's doorstep and knocked on the door, before rushing in his house and grabbing his suitcase.
He waited for the neighbor lady to find the young child before rushing to his car and diving to work.
