Today is Jade Harley's 8th birthday. She always found her birthdays to be rather boring since she didn't have anyone to celebrate it with except for Bec. All she ever longed for was for someone to be friends with, but even at her age, she had no hope of anyone reaching out to her. Jade likes to go to where her stuffed Grandpa is standing and pretend that he is saying "Happy birthday, little lassie!" so she went and did that. She stood in front of him and thought of what it would be like if he was here. Maybe he would've found some way to get a cake on this island.
Bec appeared behind her as she admired Grandpa. She patted his head affectionately. Bec licked her hand.
"Thank you." Jade said to her dog.
They appearified themselves to Jade's room which was packed with all the little strange things she found around her house. She will clean up her room but right now, she wanted to nap. After all, there is nothing better to do.
Jade Harley was not in a regular dream. It felt way too vivid for her. She was in different version of her room. She even had different clothes! Jade starred in awe. She had a pink room. In her opinion, it was a type of room anyone her age would kill for, if you exclude all the weird inventions Jade was working on. Wait. She was working on inventions?
Oh yeah… She thought. She has always been forgetful. Jade forgot she had been working on a "Wardrobifier". She doubts it would ever actually work.
Jade got a sudden urge to leave her dream room. She knew exactly where to go and she had to go right now. Since flying seemed like something someone in a dream would do, Jade climbed out the window and dropped. She knew she would fly and smiled. Jade always wondered what it would be like to fly and see different places. Sadly, she had to do something. She started to go towards the castle-like building on this golden planet.
What's this place even called?, She thought.
She finally arrived to the palace. There where these white doll-things guarding the entrance. When they saw Jade descend, they greeted her and said happy birthday. She didn't know how they knew that it was her birthday, but you didn't care. It's all a dream.
"The queen would like to see you, Jade." Said one of the carapaces.
She nodded, not knowing what to say. She was super excited to be able to see an actual queen! Or rather, a dream queen. When she arrived in the throne room, the queen was sitting on this huge throne that looked blank.
"Hello," the queen spoke.
"Ah! Uh… Hi!" Jade squeaked. "No need to feel nervous, Jade. You were sent here quite early. Before your session even began, actually! But now that you're awake, I would like to introduce myself." the queen said.
"I am the White Queen. I welcome you to Prospit, Ms. Jade Harley," she announced.
"Thank you, Your Majesty…" Jade spoke nervously.
Even though she couldn't say aloud, she thought waking up on Prospit was one of the best birthday present ever.
