Hi you guys, it's Eryn again, I am just going back over these and adding a little more detail and fixing grammar and spelling problems and things like that, so have fun!
"Ugh! What a bastard!" Lily Evans after a transfiguration class one cloudy and slightly rainy Friday evening.
"Who's a bastard?" asked a deep quiet voice behind Lily, as his hands wrapped around her waist and his soothing voice sent warm breaths floating against her neck.
"You are!" she whipped around, pushing his arms off her and stepping back in one fluid motion. "You are a bastard, Potter! Why do you always have to go around picking on people!?"
"Lily.... What was I supposed to do? Let him call you a mudblood? Snape can't just get away with that!" James Potter was over a foot taller than Lily, and even though they were so-called 'enemies', he couldn't help but feel attracted to her. It seemed to him, that she was perfect, and that she was always the one with the power over him.
"I can fight my own battles, Potter! I'm not some stupid little damsel in distress! Do you really think that I'm some freakin' little ditz who can't stand up for herself?!"
"Lily, you know I don't think tha-"
"Then don't do it! Just leave it be!"
"Lils, people like Snape can't just walk away unpunished!"
"I know that, Potter! I can handle them!" Lily's eyes were full of fire and slightly of tears as she turned around.
"Lily..." He grabbed her shoulder, gently but steadily. Lily whirled around to face James, but his head was down, his eyes glued to the floor.
"What!" The corridor was empty by now, and as they stood there, they could hear the rain pounding against the glass of the windows.
"I'm sorry." James whispered, not meeting her eyes. It was so soft she almost did not hear it.
"What was that?" she asked, just as softly, not believing that he actually apologized to her.
"I said, 'I'm sorry'. I just can't help it." James' voice was filled with desperation as he reached up to cup her face, stroking her cheek. "It's just......I see you, all the time actually. In class, at lunch, late at night when you're reading by the fire. You are just so pure, yet so fiery, but I just feel like I should protect you. I want to protect you. It's not something I think. Its something I feel."
Tears were formed in Lily's eyes, but a regretful sort of tears, as if she did not want them to be there. "Please, just don't, alright? I can handle them." Blinking back her unwanted tears she squared her shoulders and lifted her head, her small body upright and rigid. "I'm strong."
"I know." He said, his voice low and quiet, truthful and at the same time almost sad.
"Thanks." Lily turned around, but felt a tug on her arm. She pivoted once more, and she saw hazel eyes before her, and felt a calloused hand upon her face. James's lips pressed softly against her cheek.
Lily saw the world go dark and she leaned foreword to feel her lips form with his. After a second, she pulled away, his forehead nuzzling into hers.
"Anytime." James was breathless, not because of the kiss, but because of Lily herself.
"Really?" Lily asked, before pulling her mouth tentatively to his in another short and sweet kiss.
"Really." Replied James, and they both smiled as they shared a series of short, lighthearted kisses of two people falling in love.
