Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter and misc. Please don't sue me. I only have 80 cents in nickels. (stupid guy at Suncoast didn't have any other change besides nickels.)

A/N: This is just a short story, just to let you know. It only registers as a page and a half on Microsoft word. Lol. The lyrics are from one of my favourite songs. Hope u like it!

The greatest words I never heard

Harry wrapped his cloak tightly around himself, attempting to shield himself from the harsh, snowy winds as he walked along the icy sidewalk. Completely alone. He held in his right hand a single black rose.

I guess I'll never hear

It was getting late. The grey sky above him was turning a wicked black flecked with white flakes of snow. His numb feet dragged tracks into the platinum-covered ground. Turning through a small gate, many small stones stuck out through the snow, barely revealing the tops.

The man I thought could never die

He searched and searched, clearing snow away at the bases of the stones and reading all the names aloud to himself. The fierce blizzard was reaching its peak, the snow flakes were now like knives flinging through the air and cutting through his flesh. Warm blood trickled from small cuts on his face formed from the icy crystals and froze half-way down his face.

Has been dead almost a year

Finally, he found it. He dug a small hole in front of the grave he kneeled before. With his wand, Harry lit a blue fire in the deep trench of snow. This fire was unusually cold and coated its snowy protection walls with a thin ice. Carefully, he set the rose on the tip of its stem in the middle of the fire. It was suddenly encased in a shimmering coat of ice.

He was good in business

Harry sat there for hours, watching the small flame fight to stay alight. He now felt nothing but sorrow. What he had done to this boy so long ago haunted him. But it was all an accident, he knew it. What an awful accident though. He never meant to push the other off the dock, they were just fooling around.

But there was business left to do

Images raced through his mind. The crimson mixing with the deep blue of the lake. Finding the battered body upon the shore weeks later. The sharp rocks at the bottom had created deep wounds at many points of the pale body. He remembered the sheer look of terror and shock in the steel-grey eyes of his enemy… his friend…

He never said he loved me

It was becoming harder to breath. With every sharp intake of breath, shards of ice cut through his throat and into his cooling lungs. He was frost-bitten all over his body, yet he could not feel the pain anymore. His heart rate was slowing every second, his visions blurred, and everything went blank.

Guess he thought I knew…

Snow covered the lifeless body as the blue flame flickered out and darkness covered everything. No one was there to save him, no one ever would be…

I was really tired and suicidal when I wrote this, so please don't mind me…
