Nina whimpers as the cloaked figure approaches. "No, no, please, no!"
"It's for your own good, Nina." It whispers in that raspy whisper she's gotten so scared of.
"How do you know my name?" She asks through her whimpers.
"Your gran was very easy to torture. She told me everything about you. And young Edison has gone to England, taking that note for your lover-boy, Fabian." The cloaked figure tells her. Nina whimpers.
"Fabian... leave him alone, no matter what happens to me!" She yells at him, suddenly protective. Her final act is protecting the one she loved. The cloaked figure thrusts the knife into Nina's heart and the girl's last words are "Fabian, I love you."
September and the new term. Fabian sees Mr Sweet and a very pale Trudy. He announces that Nina will not be returning to England and Eddie panics when he sees all Nina's messages from her friends. He messages Fabian back, saying about a letter, then telling him about the letter and to ask him.
He knows that the secret will be out soon. He needs to protect the secret at all costs, no matter who he hurts in the process.
