"Stayne"

"Yes, your majesty?"

"Read me a story"

"What would you like me to read?"

"This" she said handing him a book called Inkheart. He began to read the book and when they were about twenty pages in they saw two men appear before them.

"Who are you?" Stayne asked the two strangers.

"Capricorn" one told them.

"Don't be ridiculous, those are characters from this book" Stayne laughed when he heard the man introduce himself.

Capricorn looked to the other man before muttering to him, "another silvertongue"

"Excuse me, but I would like to know. What exactly is a silvertongue?"

"You would think you would know. Now read us back!" Capricorn demanded.

"I don't know how. Just tell me what a damn silvertongue is!"

"A silvertongue is someone who can make words become real. When you read about me, I became real" he reluctantly told the bewildered knave. "Now read me back. Go to, uh, five pages to the end and read it" Stayne complied and read the ending sending them back from which they came.

"Stayne? Where are you?" the red queen asked looking frantically around the room.

"Where am I?" the confused knave looked around the room.

"Welcome home" a voice told him.

"Tell me where I am" Stayne demanded and looked up to see the man Capricorn.

"Yeah I don't think I will" he teased.

"Wait, if you're here and here is the book, then I'm in the book!"

"Correct" Capricorn teased only making Stayne want to kill him that much more. Once he was out of sight he picked the chains holding him and picked the lock on the cell and soon was free. "What the hell?"

"Where's the nearest exit?" Stayne asked pressing his dagger to the confused man's neck.

"There's only one exit, but tell them I sent you and they'll let you by" he lied.

"Thanks" Stayne ran through the halls and rooms in search of an exit but was soon apprehended by other black jackets. "Capricorn let me through"

"He said you would say that"

"He lied. That bastard" Stayne muttered to himself and stabbed the man through the abdomen and watched him bleed to death. Once out of the castle, he ran frantically in search of an escape but was intrigued by a talent someone possessed. They were juggling fire, then they blew fire?

"What was that?" he asked in absolute amazement at the man's power.

The fire juggler looked at him for a moment before ignoring him. Once done with what he was doing he answered him, "Dragon's breath"
