AN: Hey! Heard this song on the radio and thought I could make a Warriors version! So here it is! The song is "Imagine" and its by John Lennon. He has all credit to the original song. Leafpaw came up with a song sometime after the Great Journey. Being the shy cat she is, she only shared it with Cinderpelt. Hopefully a touching moment between the two, hope you enjoy!
It was a fine day in ThunderClan. Most of the clan was out hunting in the warm, fresh new weather, so the camp was relatively empty. Leafpaw glanced around nervously. "I have a song," Leafpaw began. "and I want you to hear it."
"Umm, sure Leafpaw. Why don't you tell me while we sort this horsetail out?" Cinderpelt suggested (wondering what a song was) as she dragged out their entire supply of horsetail from the back of their new medicine cat den. There were both rotting and fresh plants in the pile, begging to be sorted.
"Ok, here goes...
"Imagine there's no StarClan
It's easy if you try
No Dark Forest
Above us only sky
Imagine all the kitties
Living for today...
Imagine there's no Clans
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no Warrior Code too
Imagine all the warriors
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the Clans will be as one
Imagine there's no boundaries
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of Clan
Imagine all the kitties
Sharing all the land...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the Clans will live as one"
Leafpaw softly finished and Cinderpelt looked up from their finished work. "Leafpaw, that was beautiful. You captured the feeling perfectly." Cinderpelt licked her apprentice's ear, wondering where she had learned to put words together like that.
Leafpaw answered Cinderpelt's unasked question quietly. "The Tribe cats taught me. Apparently they do this all the time. They call it music; I like it." She gazed up at her mentor with her soft brown eyes.
"So do I," Cinderpelt purred.
AN: Yeah, some lines aren't perfect, but no song ever is! Please review!
