It's set after The Truth when Mulder and Scully are in the Motel room.

He lay there silently watching her. He'd been trying to sleep for hours, but sleep wasn't coming tonight.
He loved watching Scully sleep, loving how innocent and perfect she looked. To him she always looked perfect.
I don't quite know He reached out to stroke her cheek and was surprised to find that it was wet with tears. Scully's eyes fluttered open and stared back at him.

She smiled weakly at him reaching out to touch his hand.
Taking her outstretched hand he moved closer to her, wrapping his arms around her. With his free hand he reached out and brushed away the rest of her tears.

She opened her mouth to speak, but was quickly silenced by Mulder's lips closing over hers.
She melted into his kiss allowing him to attempt to kiss away all the pain that had built up inside her.
His tongue explored her mouth driving the kiss even deeper. She reached up and ran her hands through hisshort brown hair. She had missed his kisses so much.

Mulder pulled back allowing Scully to lie with her head on his shoulder.
They didn't need words, not anymore, when they lay together they forgot all about what the future held for them.
In that moment they forgot the world around them, and all of theirproblems.To them it felt like only they existed and as long as they were together they would survive.
