"Ha!" said a young girl of about 13, holding out her fist towards a mirror infront of her, her feet braced slightly apart, a silly grin plastered on her tender pink lips. Her hair was placed high atop the back of her head, flaring out in wild spikes down to her middle back. Two long spikes, one on either side of her forehead jutted out in wild appeal.

"Sei!" came a voice from another room. The girl stood up straight, brushing back a piece of her dark brown hair that had escaped from the hair piece holding it up.

She turned around as the voice yelled," Seiko Sagara! Can you hear me?"

"Yeah, mom," Sei replied, shuffling over to the entrance, knowing exactly what was coming.

"Seiko, you still haven't washed the floor like I told you to. Now finish you chores."

Sei shuffled outside onto the porch. She kneeled down and put her hands in the once warm water in the bucket.

"Wash the floors, help Uncle Ken do laundry, put your clothes away - Blah! I'm not a maid!" she complained, pulling a scrubber from the bucket and beginning to wash the floor.

As she washed, Sei's mind began to wander. She imagined herself fighting a gang to save a little kid, or helping the government hunt down a feroucious criminal. She imagined saving Kenji, Kenshin and Kaoru's son, from someone still holding a grudge on the Battousai. Her heroic thoughts were interupted by," If day dreaming cleaned floors as effectively as doing it with your own two hands, you could have this entire dojo spotless."

Sei turned to see Sano standing above her, looking down at her with gentle eyes.

"Hello daddy," she sighed, now realizing she had been sitting on the porch with the scrubber still in her hands.

"She's her father's child," Megumi said, shaking her head as she walked up. "Finding any reason to get out of working."

Sei looked at her mother out of the corner of her eye, a pathetic look playing in her dark eyes. Megumi sighed and smiled.

"Fine, fine. Go play. I know you'll never get this job done anyway."

"Thanks, Mom!" Sei said, bounding to her feet and dropping the scrubber into the bucket. She quickly hugged her mother and father before taking off to find Kenji.
