AN: I was watching the episode were Hinami's mom died and I was just thinking to my self what would Ryouko say to Hinami if she wrote a letter to here thinking something might happen to herself an how would Hinami react to it. This is Post Root A and I haven't read re: yet so this is just alittle what if one shot :)

A Letter To My Darling Daughter

The sounds of shuffling papers moved threw the room as Hinami went threw her old things she had brought from Anteiku before it had burned down. Her brown eyes fixed on an opened letter. Looking over it she froze seeing the words 'To My Darling Daughter' on the front. Carefuly opening it she begain to read.

To my precious Hinami,

Just in case something happens to me i would like to tell you how much you mean to me and your father. Before you were born your father was working for some shady people in the 13th ward. They'd ask him for shady favors and we'd always find our selves close to meeting are deaths but all of that changed when we had you. Your father decied to stop helping people like them so that we could raise you in peace. Hinami in a live full of death and evil you brought us a ray of sun shine. Your laugh brought smiles to our faces we love to watch your drive to learn and read. Speaking of reading if anything does happen i would like you to stay with Touka and keep learning more words from Kaneki. Anteiku is a nice save place it's a good place to live for ghouls who want peace. My dear sweet Hinami if in the event that i die i dont want you to live a life of saddness. It's ok to cry but don't forget to smile and know that even though you can't hear or see me i will always be by your side.

Love,

your mother

Tears flowing from her eyes she stopped reading and hugged the letter tight to her chest.

"oh mommy Anteiku is no longer here and Kanike can't teach me new words right know but i'm still staying with Touka and i Promise i will try and always smile for you and daddy i love you and miss you always" she said wipping her tears and giving a big smile looking out the window at the shining sun.
