When you walk into a school full of fillies and colts, the average stallion would avert their attention to the teacher. Miss Cheerilee was the teacher in this school, her body was a shade of magenta and her mane was a brighter yet softer shade of pink. On her face I could always see a comforting and welcoming smile. The day before today, I was hired as a caregiver by Filthy Rich, the man who owns and helps with many of the businesses here in Ponyville. He told me his daughter's mother had gotten a full time job with a repair company; therefore no one would be able to watch over their child.

I would be paid 15 bits an hour, I wasn't sure if I wanted a job that paid this little, plus Filthy Rich told me his little filly is a bit of a handful. I agreed to try for one day and if his little filly didn't like me, or the job would be too hard, I'd pick another family to work as a care giver for.

The day was bright, I could see the dust in the air as I walked into the single classroom school. Cheerilee stood with a smile on her face as I came in to pick up Filthy's child.

Cheerilee welcomed me, "Hello, you must be Norm Lace."

I cleared my throat awkwardly, "You can just call me Norm...Is uh...Diamond Tiara here? Filthy Rich said he'd call and say I'll be the one picking her up today."

I tried speaking as clear as I could, trying to hide my natural awkward nature. I've been told I clear my throat a lot and stutter at times. I looked at the crowd of children. I saw a few with matching bows in their hair and a few with other types of accessories. I two unicorns, judging by their looks they seemed like they were slow. I have a bad habit of judging ponies by their looks.

My eyes continued to scan across the little ponies, each one talking to another. I wasn't sure what Diamond Tiara was supposed to look like, act like or sound like. All I've been told is that she is a handful. I could hear

Cheerilee giggling, "she's the stubborn looking' one with the tiara"

I coughed again, out of pure habit, "R-right..."

I continued to look around until I saw her. She was talking with another pony with a spoon as her cutie mark. Diamond Tiara, there she was. My heart skipped a beat as I spotted her; I almost instantly choked a bit. Her coat was powdery pink and her mane was a mixture of purple and white. Her eyes looked sky blue with long eyelashes. I could see her smiling as she spoke to the other pony with glasses and I couldn't seem to help smiling with her.

"Oh but she is a lovely little girl isn't she?" Miss Cheerilee's voice broke my trance."

"...Beautiful..." I muttered, more so to myself.
