Hikari: I was sitting on my couch listening to music, watching TV, and emailing my friend when I realized how tiring all of that multitasking was (j/k) so I muted the TV and stopped writing emails, but then I got bored. That's where this came from. This is my first one shot, or drabble, or whatever (I'm not sure what it will become yet) so please don't be to harsh if it's bad.

Summary: "Roses have thorns, but they're not painful all the time."

Hatsuharu and Momiji sat in a café. Haru watched as Momiji devoured cake after cake.

"Haru, you're not going to eat?" Momiji asked, his face full of cake.

"Nah, I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be right back."

"Okay, just come back before I eat your cake."

"Like its possible for me to come back that fast. Eat it, I'm not hungry."

"Okay, suit yourself." Momiji shrugged as Haru walked away.

While walking around the back of the café, Haru saw large windows and a glass door. He looked out and saw many people at tables and rows of bushes.

When he went out he could see rows of red and white roses in intricate patterns.

All of the women wore sundresses and large hats. The men seemed to be dressed a bit formally as well. Everyone was wearing sunglasses and drinking champagne. It looked like a rich country club. Maybe this was a dream?

He walked to one of the white rose bushes and examined a flower.

"Ouch!" He pulled his finger away and saw drops of blood.

He cursed under his breath with his finger in his mouth.

"Oh right, thorns." He had forgotten.

"You're silly." A womanly voice rang from the other side of the high wall of bushes.

"Excuse me?" He asked, wondering if the person was real.

"How could you forget roses have thorns, dummy." She giggled.

"Well sorry I'm so stupid. I hate roses anyway, because they are so painful to touch."

"Roses have thorns, but they're not painful all the time."

"Oh, really?" He raised an eyebrow.

"They are actually the best flowers when you treat them the right way. The thorns are only used when they get angry."

"Flowers get angry?"

"Of course they do."

"You sound so insightful."

She giggled again. "Really? Is that so? Maybe I should write a book."

"Sure, definitely." They both laughed a little.

"Well I should go back home to rest, goodbye Haru."

"Wait, I thought your voice was familiar, who are you?"

"IT'S ME YOU IDIOT!" He heard feet shuffling quickly through the grass behind the bush.

Rin? Nah… but.

Momiji suddenly appeared at the door waving his arm up high. "Haru, that's where you were. Come back inside, its time to go."

"Huh, oh, sure… coming"

THE END: Hope it was good. Sorry if it was a little cheesy, I just wanted to try it. Thank you for reading.
