I dedicate this poem to Rhysenn at Magical Intrigue,
for her marvelous creation: Irresistible Poison, which was the inspiration for this work.
Thank you, Rhysenn!
Silver
Smooth, cool skin
A fire ablaze within
To look a look, that smoldering gaze
To find the truth within the maze
Of hard and unbending silver.
That passionate tongue
That slides sensually down in rivers
As does mountains, touch like shivers
All smooth and calmly warm
Like tufts of snow on shady bush
Or raven's cheek do blush- I hush
The night is calm, the air is bleak
All protests call asunder
A consumating rage draped in night
A love cloaked in it's silken might-
No purity tainted in it's flight.
A single word spoken
As breath and fluttering wings, and shards of uneven seems
It doth end.
And through the struggle of its bloom
A nightingale sings with the moon
Of a pain so distant and true
That the labyrinth fold's it's doors
And pale, exhausted eyes glisten with gloom.
