Author Notes: A short little story for those that do celebrate New year's in all of its glory.
Celebrating New Year's Eve
And for a change they will be spending it together.
Even though the past few years. Mulder wouldn't be himself after losing Scully to his misery and of the X- Files department.
However for Dana Scully after realizing just how much she truly does love the man. She'd decided to accept his marriage vow once again. Once he was able to prove to her just how much he truly loved her in many ways.
And in some ways. It was like he was floating at times, having to be oxygen starved for when it comes to his sanity and life in general. It's just too bad his sister Samantha isn't alive to see it in some ways.
Even though she has on occasions for when it comes to her and her twilight friends to help steer clear of her brother. Getting again into trouble with Spender and the Consortium for when it comes to the complete truth.
And when Mulder came over to Scully from inside of his house. He'd leaned in closer in order to give her a tender kiss on her lips.
She was able to at least give him the permission in order to let him know. It was fine in order to do so with a nod of affirmation.
He glances up at her face. With his chest instantly tightened from this action on her part and on New Year's Eve. Reminding him of years ago while watching the ball drop from inside of the hospital visiting room.
He would be able to say the words finally to her. "I love you, Dana Scully." Cupping her hands without her abandoning her true beliefs as with his for the most part.
And in his opioion. Hopefully it will stay that way for a long time to come_
