Author's Note: Jeiel Marqui is in this fanfiction, she is originally from my previous fanfiction "A Jeiel Among Gorillaz", and if you haven't read that story, you might get a bit confused reading this. So I recommend reading "A Jeiel Among Gorillaz" first, just a suggestion.

Disclaimer: I don't own Gorillaz.

It was a dark and creepy night. The power had gone out and I stood there waiting for the lights to kick back on.

"Oi, go fix the power, Russel!" Murdoc yelled at me. I sighed and walked to the power grid which was downstairs in the cold basement.

As I walked down the basement, I stopped mid-way at the steps. A loud, constant CREAK, CREAK, CREAK was emanating at the bottom of the steps. I decided to go back upstairs and grabbed a flashlight then continued downstairs. At the end of the stairs, I held the lit flashlight and quietly walked around, shining the light. I made my way to the power and flicked the switched back on, hearing shrieks as the lights flickered on and I found out what the creaking had been.

Right in front of my very eyes was an old, creaky futon. On top of the futon was an embarrassed 2D and Jeiel, a single blanket covered their naked bodies. Even though they were covered, I still covered my eyes with my hands.

"What 'da fuck are you guys doin' down here, shouldn't you be somewhere private?" My hands still covering my eyes.

"This is private, we 'fought nobody would come down into the creepy basement." 2D explained.

"Unless the power had gone out and somebody had to turn on the back-ups." I said irritated.

"The power went out?" Jeiel asked.

"Yes it did, you guys would have noticed if you hadn't been down here... so goddamn embarrassing, go do that somewhere else!" I scolded them.

I turned my back, going back upstairs as Jeiel and 2D got redressed. It had only been a month since Jeiel had moved in with us, and her and 2D were really bad at hiding their affection. We often walked in on them, cuddling or making-out, however this was a first. None of us had ever walked in on them... doing some explicit things, until I just had to break that record.

As I reached the top of the stairs, Murdoc gave me a strange look. "What was all the screaming down there, mate? See a salad?" Murdoc asked, amused by himself.

Usually I would slap him for a rude comment like that, but instead I awkwardly said, "You don't wanna know, honestly." Then sat down across from him at the dining room table. Murdoc flashed me a confused glance. Suddenly, Jeiel and 2D emerged from the basement and silently went upstairs, fully clothed, THANK GOD!

Murdoc looked at where Jeiel and 2D had emerged then looked back at me asking, "Did you-nooo. No way..." He said smirking as my flushed cheeks gave away the embarrassing answer. Murdoc burst out laughing uncontrollably.

"It's not my fault, they gotta learn to do those kind of things in private!" I defended myself.

"Even I am better at being inconspicuous when I have my women over, and that's saying something." Murdoc laughed to himself.

I couldn't help a twinge of jealousy whenever Murdoc talked about his "women", even if they were prostitutes. Now 2D had a girlfriend, and it didn't look like she was leaving anytime soon. I mean seriously, 2D can never keep a girl, yet he and Jeiel seemed to really hit it off. They're adorable together, I'll give them that. I just can't handle all of the affection, it brings up emotions that I don't like. I guess some people aren't meant to find love, and I suppose I am one of those people.

I sighed looking down at the plate I had fixed for myself, the lights had gone out right before I got the chance to eat any of it. Fork in my hand, I dropped it and walked away from the table, my appetite had disappeared.

Murdoc looked at me and lifted one eyebrow up, "Well that's a first." He commented. I glared at him because of this comment, I was sick of people judging me for my appearance.

As I traveled up the stairs, I was met with Jeiel.

"Hey, ugh, I'm sorry about that..." She said with some humiliation.

"It's fine." I mumbled.

"What's wrong?" Jeiel asked as I walked past her. She grabbed my wrist and turned me around to face her. I shrugged my shoulders like I was clueless. Jeiel paused for a moment, then looked into my eyes. It was unsettling because it was like she was staring into my soul, she had this weird uncanny sense of what people were being bothered by. It's like one look, and she knew all your problems.

"I've seen that look before." She said and then started to walk away, not explaining herself.

"What look?" I questioned her.

She looked back at me saying, "Oh, nothing." She flashed me a knowing smile. I scratched my head in confusion then walked back to my room to sleep. I missed Del, he could have just entered her body for only a few seconds to see what she was thinking and be out before Jeiel would even notice. Sadly, he was exorcised out me a long time ago.

The next day, I woke up to a putrid smell of burned food and smoke. I ran downstairs, afraid that a fire had started. Oh, hell no! I thought to myself as Jeiel smiled sweetly, watching a pan sizzle. Jeiel could not cook to save her life, she just couldn't! One night when she had first moved in with us, we made her cook us dinner, you know, pass the responsibility around equally. BIG MISTAKE! I don't even know what she had even tried making, but it was somehow burned and raw. We all got food-poisoning for a couple days.

2D then entered the kitchen, looking at Jeiel with a sleepy smile. "What 'ya doin', love?" He asked groggily.

"I thought I would surprise you guys with breakfast!" Jeiel explained optimistically. I was about to say something when 2D looked at me with an expression that said, "Get her out of the kitchen, but let her down gently."

I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder saying, "Hun, you know what happened last time. Lets face it, some talents are just not meant for people, and cooking, it's not your thing, but 'dats okay." I said reassuringly.

Jeiel looked from me to the food then said with a frown then said, "Yeah, you are right about that one. I tried." I turned the burner off and threw the unknown food into the garbage.

I then started making breakfast for everyone. By now Murdoc was at the table awaiting food. Noodle hadn't woken up yet. Jeiel was drawing in, what she called, her "Designer Profile", if you asked me, it just looked like a sketchbook with clothes drawn in it. Same thing apparently. Then Murdoc lit a cigarette. 2D looked at it with a pitiful glance, then gave a pleading look at Jeiel.

Jeiel looked up from her sketchbook and said sharply, "No." to 2D. Jeiel had really been cracking down on 2D's bad habits. She no longer allowed him to smoke, get wasted, or get stoned. A little drinking was allowed now and then, but she wouldn't let him get drunk. Of course, his headache pills were still allowed because 2D desperately needed them. Honestly, I believe Jeiel was the best thing that ever happened to 2D. She was only doing it for his health, she was one of those, caring girlfriends.

"C'mon, Jeiel, he deserves it." Murdoc teased.

Jeiel thought for a moment, then smiled saying, "He can have one when I have one." 2D dropped his head on the table with a loud bang as he heard this, he obviously knew that, that day would never come.

"I'm only doing it for your health." Jeiel said, continuing to draw in the sketchbook.

"Well then if you get to make me break my bad habits, I get to break yours." 2D retorted.

Jeiel looked up with a smirk and said, "Deal."

2D smiled evilly saying, "Okay, no more cooking, or 2 hour showers. Also, no more spreading your over-abundance of makeup and hair supplies on my end table, and..." 2D paused for emphasis. Jeiel was occupied by her fashion design, obviously not fazed by his demands.

Then 2D finished his sentence, "And you can only go shopping once a week, with spending limits." I heard some kind of choking noise come from Jeiel as she dropped her sketchbook on the floor staring with wide eyes at 2D.

"You're bluffing." Jeiel retorted.

"Nope, I'm not. Let me have a smoke, and I will give you all 'me money for a huge shopping trip. I'll even carry all your shopping bags, love." 2D said to Jeiel. She bit her lip then stared down at the floor, it was obvious that she was tempted by this offer.

Finally Jeiel looked back up and said, "Fine, I won't cook, or take anymore 2 hour showers. I won't spread my makeup and hair stuff on your end table, and..." She gulped before continuing, "And I'll only go shopping once a week with spending limits." She had difficulties agreeing to the last demand.

2D had this mischievous smile on his face, "Now you will finally understand my pain." He said. Jeiel glared at him then stomped out of the room pissed.

"Now you've done it." Murdoc remarked.

"Eh, she'll give in eventually, and when she does, its all the cigarettes I can cram in 'me mouth. Jeiel can't stand a day not going shopping." 2D said, sitting back in his chair gleefully. I finished breakfast and set out plates for everyone. Noodle had finally come downstairs.

"What's with Jeiel? She stomped into her room looking mad." Noodle said. Jeiel and 2D shared a room since we didn't have any extras.

"She's just mad because she isn't allowed to go shopping all the time." 2D explained.

I grabbed Jeiel's plate I had made for her and carried her breakfast upstairs to her. I knocked on the door. No answer.

Then I knocked again, "Yes?" Jeiel finally asked.

"It's Russ, I brought yo food for you." I said. I heard some footsteps as she came to the door and opened it. I walked in giving her the food, sitting down on the bed.

"Thanks." Jeiel said and sat down next to me, putting a bite in her mouth.

"You al'ight?" I asked her.

Jeiel sighed then said, "Yeah, I'm just irritated. I was only breaking 2D's bad habits because they are harmful and unhealthy. Now he's giving me a taste of my own medicine, but my habits aren't harmful or unhealthy."

I pressed my lips together then commented, "Well your cooking is harmful and unhealthy." She laughed at this remark, only because it was true.

"Plus, no offense girl, but you get aggressive at the mall. I remember that one girl who wanted the last pair of heels that you also wanted." I shuddered at that memory. Jeiel playfully punched me in the arm, defending herself.

"Hey, she was in my way... not my fault that she ran into the clothing rack knocking herself unconscious." Jeiel said innocently.

"That was all of your fault and you know it, your the one that pushed that clothing rack into her..." I said laughing. We both laughed for a long time.

"2D is so lucky to have a girlfriend like you." I said after a moment of silence.

"You really mean that?" Jeiel asked with a friendly smile.

"Yeah, you care all about his health and your sweet and pretty... what I wouldn't give to have a girl like you..." I cut myself off staring into space.

"Thanks. You know... if you would let me..." Jeiel began. I looked at her quizzically.

"What?" I asked her.

"I could help you find a girlfriend. Omg, I could be like cupid!" Jeiel said enthusiastically. Oh no, what did I get myself into...
