My very first oneshot on FF. Please be nice and reviews are welcome. Also, I'm sorry if I made any mistakes about the game. I have only just finished the second game and I have barely started the first one. Thank you for reading and please enjoy.

Aperture Science.

That's what her clothing, in all its blindingly orange glory, had said.

Of course everyone knows about the place. It was shut off from society years ago. After the incident.

But, somehow, this woman had managed to survive and return to civilization.

When she was bombarded with questions from reporters, police, and nearly everybody else, she would refuse to speak. No one was even sure if she could speak. She walked away stiffly, awkwardly holding the large white…gun?

The woman, who the press now calls "The Survivor", walked away from the small town. No one was sure where she went, and everyone was pretty sure she didn't have a clue where she was even going. But, nevertheless, she had left.

I need answers. I need to know why I survived and why she let me go.

The sun beats down on the dark haired woman. She is sitting in a field much like the one she had appeared in after riding to the surface. She doesn't quite know what to do with herself yet, but she is positive she won't be able to thrive in a world where she has free-will. She doesn't understand the idea of creating her own life and taking care of herself.

Because of this, she is slowly getting more and more irritated by the fact that she doesn't have anything to think about. No puzzles to solve. No tricks to play or turrets to dodge. A scary feeling of nothingness is beginning to creep up on her.

If I was the…"Survivor"…then that means I am the last one who knows anything about Aperture… There is no one else to understand what goes on down there. No one will know anything.

If I want answers…the only way I will be able to get them is to go ba- No don't think that…This is what I have always wanted…I couldn't possibly go back. Not now and not ever.

She sits there considering this for timeless seconds until she asks herself something that she doesn't know how to respond to.

Is this what you really wanted?
