Monster

By Rainmusic

The difference between a murderer and a hero is as fine as a newborn's hair.

To some, he may be a hero, saving them in their time of need. A champion amongst many. To others, he may be a murderer, killing so many in cold blood. Using weaker entities to satisfy his thirst for bloodshed.

He killed my son. He saved a village.

I cannot blame him. He lost his mother at such a young age. He never even knew his sire. This monster who slew my son is still a child. A lonely child who never had the love of his father, lost the love of his mother. There was no one there to teach him.

Teach him that, for every "evil" demon he kills, there is a mother mourning for her lost baby.

He killed my son. He saved a village. Was that village worth the life of my son? Was my son worth the lives of that village?

I cannot blame him. He did what he thought he had to. To protect the people who couldn't protect themselves. And he never knew that, like him, my son was once a child, too. My child.

Inu Yasha is not evil. Nor is he good.

He killed my son. He saved a village.

I cannot blame him. But I cannot forgive him either.

Disclaimer: Inu Yasha belongs to...to...? Well, it's not me.

An: So, what do you think? If any of you were wondering, the child I'm talking about can be just about any demon that Inu Yasha has killed in his travels, possibly before he met Kagome. As for me, I had a certain demon in mind, but I won't say it here.
