Edge: Who let her out of the cage?

Edge's shaky finger pressed the doorbell of his date's house. He hoped that she

would answer. The door opened and a large, strong figure loomed over him. Edge

broke into nervous sweat

"Um...is Akira here?" he asked.

"She's in the garage...why?"

"I'm her...date for tonight."

"Where will you be going?"

"To the carnival"

"When will you be back?"

"Whenever you want, Boss"

"What were you doing on the night of October 22?"

"Huh?"

"Big brother," Akira called rolling her eyes. "You're making him nervous" She

came in with her usual tank top and pants, but a bit dirtier.

"Sorry." He looked at his younger sister. "Oh look, now your face is all dirty"

he took out a rag and started cleaning a light gray spot on her cheek.

'Thank God he didn't spit on it.' she thought while trying to get he older

brother to stop.

"I can do it by myself," she took the rag away from her over-protective sibling.

"Right."

She sighed and looked at the still waiting Edge. "When will we be back?"

"Uh..."

"6:00" Daigo broke in.

"But it's only 5:30."

"Don't talk back, young lady. Brothers know best."

'He's acting like a mom and a dad in one' she thought. "Then I guess we can take

the motorcycle."

"No, I will not allow you two sitting like that!" They both thought and turned

red after mentally seeing what Daigo was talking about.

"It's a five minute walk anyway." Edge said coolly, trying not to act too nervous in

front of Akira.

Daigo checked Akira's clothes. "Go upstairs and change."

"This what I always wear." She sighed at her brother's actions. The date didn't

even start yet.

"Fine fine," Daigo said, almost pouting. Akira took Edge's arm and started

walking down the steps of her house. Edge felt Daigo's glare burn through his

neck. Akira looked up to see Edge's uneasy face.

"You're lucky you caught him in a good mood."

                                    [20 minutes later]

"Wow, kicked out of the place in fifteen minutes, what a record." she said dully, rolling her eyes.

"The kid kicked me in the shin" he said in defense.

"But you took his cotton candy."

"I was hungry."

She sighed and gave up on him. She could never understand the male side of life.

She slightly scooted closer to Edge. 'Damnit, I hate winter.' She felt a jacket

fall onto her shoulders.

"Thought you were cold," Edge said looking forward.

"Thanks..." she smiled and ignored the knife blades brush on her skin. Edge felt

her head on his shoulder. 'This isn't so bad.' He hooked his arm around her

waist. A pause drifted between them for quite a while.

"There's the house," she murmured, almost sounding disappointed.

"Yeah..." Edge acknowledged at the same tone. They walked to the front door.

Edge was about to open the door, but Akira stopped him.

"You're forgetting something." She teased as she wrapped her arms around his

neck and shut her eyes. Edge slowly drew her into a kiss until he was stopped by

the sound of a door slamming open. Soon a hand grabbed the back of his collar

and tossed him aside like a rag doll. He watched Akira being drag inside by the

same hand. He struggled to get up from the bushes until he was met with a face

full of knifes and cloth. He sank back down.

'What's gonna happen at school?'

EAC: Twas short yes?

Edge: See? I can be sweet.

EAC: In yer own…nutcase way…

Edge: At least I didn't waste people's time.
