Hi, I'm Merina, and this is my very first Inuyasha Fan Fic! Hope you like it! Oh, and I would just like to say, that when ever you see the writing like this; with the text all slanted, that means that person is just thinking that. Ok, well I hope you enjoy the story, and I hope you have a wonderful day. Sincerly, Merina.

This story is not the real ending of Inuyasha, I just made it up. I actually have no idea how the show will end, but I think this would be a sweet ending. I guess you could just call in an alternate reality ending. lol. Oh yeah, and I would just like to say that I do not own Inuyasha or any of the characters. Thank you, and enjoy the story.

One Wish

Prologue

The final battle is over. Inuyasha and his friends have one, and in doing so, they have received the last piece of the sacred jewel. Now the story takes place… and they are sitting in the forest resting, after the tiring battle.

"So I guess that's it." Kagome said as she sat down beside Inuyasha. "Are you ok? What's wrong?" She asked him.

"Nothing," He replied. He looked down at his hands. He was finally holding the sacred jewel again.

They had finally collected all the pieces. It was over. What was to happen next? Was the journey over?

"So um… what now," Kagome asked looking around at every one.

Miroku was playing with a piece of grass, all of Sango's attention was on Kelala, and Inuyasha just grunted.

"How am I so post to know." Inuyasha said.

"Wow, I can't believe it." Miroku said quietly.

"Can't believe what!" Inuyasha shouted.

"That it's over." He replied.

"What's over, what do you mean! Oh what ever I'm out of here." Inuyasha yelled as he ran off into the forest.

"Inuyasha," Kagome said sadly. What's wrong with him… he seems angry. "Miroku… what did you mean though; it's over?" She asked him.

Sango began to get interested in the conversation and looked in their direction.

"I mean that, well… what I am trying to say is that. Well… what is going to happen next? I mean, we set out to retrieve all the pieces to the sacred jewel, and we did. And now it is over." he said.

Kagome didn't say anything. She just sighed and looked away.

"Yeah, but we don't seem to happy about it, well Inuyasha doesn't seem to happy. I wonder why." Sango said.

Kelala purred, and rubbed its head up against Sango's arm. She started to pet her, then broke into tears.

"Sango! Sango what's wrong!" Miroku said as he ran to her side.

Sango hugged Miroku, and then answered him through sobbing gasps of air. "It's just; I don't understand why we are all feeling sad! I don't understand!" She yelled.

Miroku's eyes closed as he held Sango in his arms. Trying to keep back his tears he managed to reply. "I don't understand either."

Kagome found a tear in her eye as well. She stood up, and decided to go find Inuyasha, and leave the two of them to them selves. She then picked up her back pack, and walked into the forest; unaware of the sadness that was soon to come to them all.
