"Ouch!"

The complaint tumbled from the lips of Kuki Sanban as Abby attempted to drag her hairbrush through another tangle of thick ebony. The two girls had been working to settle the hair of the oriental girl back into some semblance of its previous state for what seemed like hours. Kuki had decided she would need some assistance after discovering that her arm was too short to fully groom her waist-length locks.

"Stop moving 'round," Numbuh Five scolded gently. She placed a hand to the back of the younger girl's skull as she moved the brush downwards again. The bristles pulled hard through another knot, wrenching at Kuki's scalp, and making her squeal.

"But it hurts!"

"What do you expect? Goin' to sleep with all that that food in your hair."

Abby could already see the displeasure sneaking into Numbuh Three's usually smiley face in the mirror of the vanity they sat together at. Her bottom lip, already too full for its partner, fell into a pout. "But those Rainbow Munchies are so goood for desert!" she explained.

"You eat'em, girl. You don't swim in 'em."

The Asian girl's brow furrowed, "But I -,"

A sharp – and painful – tug from the brush made Kuki leap from her seat and turn to face Abby in a sudden fit of fire. "You're doing that on purpose!"

"Abby's sorry. Now sit down."

"No, no, no!"

Shrugging, Abby placed Kuki's brush back on to her desk with a soft click. "Fine," she said simply as she strode across her friend's room to sit herself on her bed and pick up a magazine that had been abandoned there. "Guess we'll jus' have to shave ya."

Kuki looked alarmed now, "W-what?"

"Think a SHAVERAMA would work? 'Pose a regular pair of scissors would do it too."

The bed next to the older girl bounced as Kuki came bounding across the room. She shoved the brush into Abby's arms before presenting the second-in-command with her half-straightened out tresses. Folding her tiny hands into her lap, Kuki gave Abby a apologetic and begging flutter of her lashes. "I'll be good," she said cooed sheepishly.

Smirking, Abby threw her reading material to the floor. "Yeah, that's what Abby thought."

A/N: I love how Abby almost mothers the rest of the team. I hope I wrote her okay; I'm not used to her that much.

Kuki/Abby friendship is adorable. HOME is my favorite episode because of them, yes. I'm also thinking about writing a fic with them romantically implied - mostly because Wally, jealously, assumes it (why he is jealous, I haven't quite figured out, but its Wally so . . . yeah.) - along with joked Hoagie/Wally as a retort from Abby. It'll be sorta cracky, I guess, and end up the classic pairings, of course, unless you'd prefer otherwise.

Oh, the Hoagie/Wally bromance is adorable.

Love you guys!

-Kati.
