I don't own the Outsiders

Enjoy

It had been about…ten years since I last been to Tulsa. I often miss my old town, the gang…and my brothers.

I was sitting in my apartment, watching the news and drinking a beer. My mind was full of thoughts and memories. I thought back to after I graduated high school.

I managed to get a scholarship to pay for practically my whole tuition for college. After I graduated, I moved out to California and got a job as a police officer and soon was promoted to detective. I mostly did murders and serious crimes. The city was always filled with crime and it wasn't getting any better for us. Yet I never failed at my job…I always got the bad guy in the end.

The pay wasn't too bad, I got my own apartment have a dog named George and spend my nights with my friends from the station. We would go to the bar, shot some pool, drink a bit and then talk about the day out in the field. We always had stories to tell.

Tonight was no different than any other night. I was at the bar with three other cops, Bobby, James, and Ed.

Bobby had to arrest three guys today who were known drug dealers. James nabbed two guys that robbed a bank two days ago. Finally Ed got to patrol the boardwalk to a popular beach today, lucky man.

Overall life was pretty good, busy, but good. Still I missed my family, I wondered why I didn't talk to them much but I guess with time and just wanting to be independent for once…made me want to pretend I didn't used to be a "greaser".

In all seriousness I could hardly remember why there was so much fighting in the first place…but that was years ago.

Slowly I finished my beer and decided to get some sleep; I had to go to the office to finish some reports.

Little did I know that I was being watched by one criminal that I never caught.
