Assumptions
The characters used belong to Capcom. Standard disclaimers apply. This is from the point of view of Chun Li.
This is based on the animated series Streetfighter2V. There are implications of a homosexual relationship between
two males.
Why do people assume that Ken is my boyfriend? Do they fail to notice that Ryu always comes along on
our so-called dates? For the first few supposed dates I was their tour guide for crying out loud. I was hired to
show them a good time in Hong Kong. Sure, I've taken them to places even I've never been before but that's because
Ken is extremely rich. He even bought me a few things.
When they left Hong Kong, people asked where my boyfriend was. Did they fail to notice that I was
with two guys? Was Ryu completely invisible? Sure, he's not as sociable as Ken but he was almost always with him.
My father told me that I chose a decent boyfriend this time. Fei Long told me that he enjoyed fighting with my
boyfriend. I told them both that Ken was just a friend. I told Fei Long that I suspected Ken to be in love with
someone else. He eventually figured out something, which I thought was obvious all along.
"Oh", he said, "In that case I also want to challenge his boyfriend." I knew Fei Long would finally
understand. He worked in show business, so I figured he would be more accepting of their relationship. Of course,
Fei Long was busy with a movie so we didn't speak for very long. Most others aren't as open-minded.
Boyfriend? What boyfriend? Ken is more like a girlfriend. He's someone I could go shopping with. He
has such a great fashion sense. Don't tell him I said this. He does have the macho ego. He's someone I could trust
with my secrets, though he hasn't officially told me that he was in love with Ryu. I see it. It's so blaringly
obvious. I notice the way they gaze lovingly into each other's eyes. I notice how Ken always finds excuses to put
his hands on Ryu. I notice the way they fight together. It's as if they share one mind and attempt to share one
body. A perverted side of me wants to see watch them make out. I notice how they hold hands when they think that
no one is looking.
Most importantly, I notice how miserable Ken is when Ryu isn't around. He tries to hide it but I see
right through him. I once commented on this. I said they were like inseparable twins. It would've been more accurate
if I said they were soul mates. I guess I notice a lot of things. Besides, it's not the first time I've taken a
cute gay couple on a tour.
