Note: The first of these has the original thought in its note. This is Harry and Lily having breakfast soon after Harry moves in with Draco. 407 words.
"This is really good, Mum."
(laughing) "You're such a liar! But thank you."
(grins and forks the food on his plate)
"So, how's Draco?"
"Oh, he's fine. Sorry to miss this. He likes you. Or least, he likes you better than Dad."
"Don't let them bother you, Harry. They will grow to get over it."
"Yeah, I know. I sure wish they would hurry up about it, though."
(nods) "I understand. So, how's the moving in coming along?"
"Got it all done a couple days ago. Thought I sent an owl to tell you?"
"Your father might not have passed it along to me yet. He's been sulking since he found out. Serves him right to find out its completion first."
(laughs a little)
"You're settled in and everything, yeah? Do you think you'll like it?"
"I think so. Obviously it is much bigger than what I'm used to, but I think I'll be able to adjust. I've already spotted a couple of rooms I might spend a lot of time in. Oh, Mum, there's one you'd love. It has the most beautiful view of the lake. You'd really like the rose arbor. His mum took care of it herself. I'm thinking I might take a look at it and see what I can do for it. Maybe you could help me?"
"That sounds wonderful; I'd love to come visit. I do hope that isn't going to be the only times I get to see you?"
"No, of course not, Mum."
"What are your plans for the upcoming hols?"
"I'm not really sure. I haven't discussed anything with Draco as of yet. I know he's got an invite for some party. I think he wants to make an appearance, but after that I'm not really certain."
"Well, we'd love to see you."
"Of course, Mum. Even if we can't be here for the day itself, we'll stop by sometime during the hols."
(long pause)
"It's odd. I never thought it would be me and him."
"I know what you mean. I never saw this one coming."
"I'm glad you get along with him."
"I adore him, actually. He's very funny when he wants to be, and he treats you so well."
"Yeah, he does, doesn't he?" (laughs a little) "He tries to fight it sometimes, but he almost always gives in. It's rather funny."
(smiling) "I'm glad you've got someone like him."
"Me, too, Mum. Me, too."
