Garnet watches as Greg finally manages to convert the wailing stone's message into video. She watches as Lapis pops up onto the tiny screen.
"I hope you're able to hear this, there's a Gem looking for you, she even knew your name. I don't know how! I didn't tell her I swear! She's on her way to Earth, and she's not alone. Steven, Homeworld is not the way it used to be. Everything here is so advanced! I can't even understand it. There's no way anything on Earth can stand up to it. Please, don't put up a fight, It'll only lead to devastation."
"It's Peridot, she must be talking about Peridot," Pearl says breaking the ice.
"She's coming for us!" Amethyst screams as she grabs her hair.
"Lapis, she sounds so unhappy..." Steven lets out in a sad tone.
Garnet watches as Pearl and Amethyst start to freak out.
Peridot is coming and not only that but Homeworld has advanced their technology. She always knew that Homeworld was going to coming back to try and claim earth again, she just didn't expect them to come back so soon.
'Let's not forget we don't have Rose and Steven is barely able to control his powers,' a voice in Garnet's head says.
What are they going to do? They're not prepared for another war. The last one damn near destroyed them and who or what ever was left of Rose's army became corrupted. She should have saw this coming.
'You could never have seen this coming,' another, softer than the first voice says in Garnet's head.
'But we could've been prepared for this and for what will ultimately come next. Homeworld is never going to give up earth,' the first voice says inside Garnet's head.
It's not over yet, whoever it is, if they can defeat the Homeworld gems and stop them from contacting Homeworld, they might have a chance.
"What are we going to do?!" Amethyst asks and Garnet balls up her fist.
Survive. Survive and fight is what they are going to do.
"Woo, we did it," Garnet says and everyone turns to face her.
"What?" Pearl screeches.
"We got the message." Garnet adjusts her shades.
"But!" Amethyst starts.
"It's got!" Garnet says through gritted teeth.
They shall have a talk about this later.
Walking toward Greg, Garnet offers him her hand.
She'd hate to admit it but if it wasn't for Greg, they'd might never have gotten the message. What is it that he said when he crashed through the door?
"I just want to help. Have some faith in.." Greg starts to say as he crashes through the door only to realize no one is there.
He just wants them to have faith in him, like he did them.
That's why when Garnet says was okay, he responds with, "No it's not, you guys don't give up on anything, except for me. Come on... it's not like I can make it any worse!"
He deserves to be thanked. Rose always had faith in these human beings. She thought they could create such wonderful things .. and in a way she was right. Rose felt that these humans had so much unnoticed potential in them that all they needed was just someone to believe in them.
Garnet waits for Greg to shake her hand, they came this far, if he can believe in them, the least they can do is believe in him.
Greg looks down at Garnet's hand in shock and admiration before he slowly shakes her hand. Garnet turn their hands slightly and places her other hand on top of his.
"Thank you Greg, we would not have received this message without your help," Garnet says as she looks up into his shocked face.
"You, you're welcome," Greg says as his eyes tear up and they let go of each other's hand.
Garnet supposes that maybe they should have a little bit of faith in Greg. He did help them after all. He has helped them in the past a lot.
