This is my first attempt to write Pin and Ayane, but waiting for more chapters with scenes just isn't doing it for me.

Enjoy!

Not an Epic Love

Sawako and Chizu chatter amicably in the background, waiting for Shota and Ryu to finish with up with their parents. Their voices are muddle together to Ayane; her body feels out of place.

This was it, she was done with high school. She would head off to Tokyo, to a future she now believed she had.

Thanks to him.

Ayane stills and sighs to herself. She was now a free agent and she was in love with her-she has to remind herself-former home room teacher.

"Yano-chin?" Chizu calls out to her "You okay?"

"I'll be back." Ayane tells her, marching forward.

Her and Pin weren't an epic love; In fact, there was nothing epic about them even though it should have been an epic scandal of disastrous proportions. She fell in love with him without even knowing it, without even realizing it until the school semester was almost over. Which was good in her favor, because what she was about to was embarrassing and she wouldn't have to see him afterwards.

It wasn't a grand epiphany, she had always sort of loved him.

She makes her way up to the classroom, dropping a bento box down on his desk.

"How did I know you would here?" She teases lightly, and Pin turns from the window.

"How did I know you would be here?" He counters back, eying the bento box.

"For me?"

"Who else would it be for?" His fingers touch it lightly, his mind seemed to be in deep thought. Was he already missing them? He sits on top of the desk and she sits beside of him.

"I'm going to miss you guys." He admits, a little too serious. She likes this side of him, she even likes his silliness.

"Aww, you're gonna miss lil ol' me?"

"Except for you." But he grins, but then it turns serious again, "But especially you, Yano." Her hand find his and hold them lightly.

"Do you have my cell?" She asks him lightly, ignoring the thrumming in heart. He raises his eyebrows.

"Ah. No, I don't." She slips him a piece of paper she took the liberty of scribbling on last night. He takes it with great care, not letting her hand go.

"Call me. When I'm at Tokyo." She tells him, and really it's all thanks to him that she got in. He nods.

"Yano-"

"When I get back," She tells him, heat spreading to her face, "You'll be the first to know." She feels herself being jerked and warm, strong arms envelope her. Her whole face is red now.

"I can't wait." He holds her for awhile longer. She loves him, this is a fact she knows in her heart, all the way to her bones.

Who needed an epic love, anyway?
