Kazuki: No comment. Whatsoever. It was just a self-issued challenge of writing a 400 word Christmas fic. It is crappy, I know, but I tried!
Warning: Crack pairing. Don't like, then don't read.

Edit: Microsoft Word says it's 400 words, but this site says it's 391. -.- That's so stupid...

Inspiration Song: "Hello Lonely" by Theory of a Deadman

Merry Christmas, minna-san!

Hello Lonely

"Don't forget to clean up when you're done!"

"Alright! Have a happy holiday!"

The manager left, leaving behind the near empty department store behind. The only employee left sighed. She chose to stay and take care of the store, even though it was late and on Christmas Eve. It didn't bother her; she didn't have anything to do at home anyway. She leaned against the cash register.

"Excuse me."

Startled, she jumped up, nearly dropping her chocolate. The costumer chuckled and she flushed slightly, hastily beginning to scan the items.

"Getting presents this late?" She asked casually, making small conversation as she scanned.

"Not really. I just felt like going shopping."

The boy, who didn't look much older than her, helped to place the items in the bags to make her job easier.

"What about you?"

"Nani?" The pink-haired girl looked up, a slightly puzzled expression on her face.

"Is your boss so cold-hearted to make you work late?"

She hesitated slightly. It seemed so stupid, choosing to stay at work, doing someone else's job instead of going home to celebrate the holidays. She shook her head.

"I have no one to spend the holidays with, anyways. Might as well do something to help out, ne?"

Suddenly, the boy was right in front of her, leaning over the conveyer belt. She blinked, realizing for the first time that he was wearing glasses.

"Me either..."

"W-What?"

He leaned forward. "I don't have anyone to spend time with, either."

A dark blush spread across her cheeks, doing a fine job in imitating her vibrant hair color.

"Wh-What are you trying to say?"

The boy moved closer, to the point that she could feel his breaths. She felt her heartbeat quicken. He didn't come any closer.

"Do you want to spend the time with me?"

For a long time, she didn't say anything. A thousand questions just swarmed her mind. He started to pull back. Without thinking, she placed both of her hands on the sides of his face, and pulled him into a kiss. They stayed like that for a few moments, before they finally pulled back, blushing.

"I…don't even know your name…" She whispered softly.

He smiled, a small blush on his cheeks. "Ishida. Ishida Uryuu. You…?"

"Kusajishi Yachiru."

"You never answered my question."

She gave him a smile, knowing that he just wanted to hear her confirm his thoughts.

"Yes."
