Hello. I have decided to do a short story about the song 'Take on the World', the theme song of Girl Meets World. Well, here we go!
I've been waiting. For a, day like this to come.
This line shows that someone, probably main character Riley, has been waiting for something, as if subconsciously.
Struck like lightning. My heart's, beating like a drum.
This thing that is striking like lightning is most likely the emotion of love. This is backed up by saying the 'my heart's, beating like a drum.' Need further proof? Read on. Also, I am editing this in- while this is playing, Sabrina Carpenter is being given credit for Maya Hart. See that!
On the edge of something, wonderful.
Ha.
Face to face with, changes, what's it all about.
This marks down that they are at the age of puberty, and that this is not a three year old love triangle. Just in case.
Life is crazy, but I know, I can work it out.
This is backing up the puberty situation previously mentioned. Saying that life is crazy, but I can work it out reminds be of a big knotted mess of string. It will take a while. But you can undo it. Never completely, but you have to learn that for yourself.
'Cuz I got you to live it, with me!
Now this can be perceived in many ways. One, Riley is talking to Maya about staying together, seeing as they are both on the video for this, and always arm in arm. I support this theory most, and I think it makes sense.
Two, Riley is talking to Lucas about their struggling relationship. Though this seems unlikely, one could see that.
Lastly, the theory that Riley is singing to herself. That with puberty, she is finding someone else inside of her that she never really saw before. That this new her will stick through all the things it brings in puberty. I like this theory, but it is not my favorite (see above).
I feel all right, I'm gonna take on the wo-o-orld!
Confidence. Saying, You know what? I'm gonna take on the world. I got this.
Light up the stars, I've got some pages to turn-
Of her life. Light up the stars of the universe, I have to read. I have to think.
Part 2 is coming soon!
