Captain's Log; Terran Date 950.M41, Shipboard time 23:50
Have taken to liking the game I have playing with the good Inquisitor Gerran. He seems to be determined to have me brought to justice, if such a thing existed in this galaxy. Oh the "charges" he has laid on me, desertion, stockpile of Xenos weaponry and artefacts, facilitation of rogues and unwarranted modifications. Nonsense I say, My Queen of Blades is a thing of beauty, sure she has changed, but I pity those who doubt her effectiveness. My collection of artefacts is firstly a past time; I have little interest in their effectiveness, until such I time when they can be used. As for the "rogues" and criminals in my service little is better than the split second reactions they have, useful in a fight, although they often require a good beating to ensure their loyalty.
It is better I say to be a deserter than a corpse, my Queen would concur I am sure.
The system we have arrived in looks promising, scan of a nearby moon show good deposits of rare resources, my engineers will rub their hands gleefully with all the modifications and upgrades they can make with these. Tomorrow we will begin harvesting as much as we can, the rather hostile conditions shouldn't be much of an issue for my teams and crew.
