Alec woke up next to his boyfriend Magnus, he groaned as his phone started to ring. He looked at the time, ten in the morning, Isabelle, his sister was calling him, "Hey, whats up?" He asks her.
"We got a distress call coming." Isabelle said
"from where?" Alec asked alarmed
"Chicago."
"Do you know from whom?" Alec asks
"no, its anonymous"
"alright so whats the plan?"
"i don't know. Where are you?" Izzy asks Alec.
"at Magnus's." He said.
"Get over here, the institute is crazy right now." Izzy told him
"Okay, on my way." he said, he wrote a note to Magnus and told him where he would be. He went over to Magnus and kissed him lightly on the forehead and then walked back to the Institute. Once he got there Isabelle was waiting for him, "what do we know about the distress call?" Alec asks "its from Chicago, but nothing else." Isabelle said. Alex nodded. He saw Jace, "hey. What time did the distress call come in?" He asks "well we saw it an hour after it came in so around 9." Jace replied. "Mom was looking for you by the way." Isabelle told Alec, "I'm sure she was" he replied, Isabelle stopped and turned around. "Why? What happened?" She asked Alec. They got to the tech room and looked at the distress call again. "What happened with you and mom?" Izzy asked Alec for the third timd now.
"She thought me being gay was a phase and thats the only reason the she was going along with it. And its time for me to get past this phase" Alec said. "Why didnt you tell me?" Isabelle asked him. "It doesnt matter. I know it is not a phase and that's really all I care about." He said to her.
