"Hey, Mom," Will said, coming into the room. "I have to ask you something."
"What is it?" Sami asked.
"I heard that when you were a teenager, you kidnapped your sister Belle."
"Um," Sami said, not knowing how to respond to that. It was true, but she didn't really want to talk about it.
"How old were you when that happened?"
"15," Sami answered, confused by the question.
"And how old was Aunt Belle?"
"She was a baby."
"How much later was I born?"
Sami shrugged. "About a year."
"But, Belle is more than a couple of years older than me, and less than 15 years younger than you?"
"Hmm."
"I heard that Uncle Bo and Aunt Hope had moved away from Salem when Shawn was a baby and then they moved back later."
"That's right," Sami answered, confused at the sudden change of subject.
"When was that?"
"I don't know. 1980 something."
"And when were you born?"
"1984."
"And when was Belle born?"
"1993."
"Then, wouldn't you have been 9 when Belle was born? Not 15?"
"Well, I guess. But, I know I was definitely older than that," Sam said adamantly.
"And didn't Belle and Shawn graduate from high school the same year?"
"Yeah."
"How is that possible?"
"And Brady was born a year earlier, in 1992, right?"
"Yeah."
"So, that would make him 21, and Belle 20?"
"Well, Will, you know they're both older than that."
"So, do you have the dates wrong?"
"No."
"So, to sum up, you and your cousin Shawn were born around the same time. Yet, you're younger sister, who you claim to be 15 years older than, is the same age as Shawn. I was born later the same year as Belle, but she and shawn are both much older than me. And Brady, who was born after Shawn, is a year or so older than him. Do I have that right?"
"Not only that, but John and Kristen didn't meet until Belle and Brady were toddlers. EJ was born after that, after you were born, but look at him now."
"You have kids by someone who is younger than me?" Will asked incredulously.
"Well, he's older than I am?"
"How can someone born after your son be older than you are? When was he born?"
"1997, I think."
"Mom, I think you're committing a crime."
"Will, stop. He's obviously older than 16."
"How has nobody noticed this before."
"I'm not sure. But, I think the best thing we can do is not mention it to anyone else," Sami decided. Shehad no idea what was happening, but was sure Stefano was behind it. Who else would want to steal everybody's childhood.
