A/n: Hello Doctor Who fandom. I'm just a lowly American who was recently introduced to this magical, amazing world of Time Lords and TARDIS'. I have become insanely obsessed with it and even more so with the relationship between the Doctor and Rose. It was only a matter of time before fanfiction called to me and it finally did so here I am...I apologize if its not up to standard.
Rose Tyler had just finished getting dressed when she heard the unmistakable sound of glass shattering followed very shortly after by a male voice uttering a curse.
She raced down the stairs heading for the kitchen and spun into the doorway. The first thing she saw was the shattered glass on the floor, sitting in a pool of liquid. The next thing she saw was the Doctor, gripping onto the counter and leaning over the sink.
"Doctor?" She called out to him, her concern obvious in her voice.
The Doctor looked over his shoulder at her, his tongue darting in and out of his mouth and his nose scrunched up in disgust.
Her worry and concern immediately dissipated and was replaced with bemusement at the look on his face. Her eyebrow rose in silent question as she tried to hide the smirk on her face.
"That," The Doctor threw an accusing finger at the pitcher of off white liquid sitting nicely on the counter beside him, "is pear juice."
"Yeah. So?"
He blinked at her. "I hate pears."
She rolled her eyes at him though her smirk only grew wider as she crossed her arms. "Then you shouldn't have drunk it, silly."
His eyes narrowed in a slight glower. "Do you think that if it was labeled correctly, I would have drank it? Honestly, Rose Tyler!"
"Well, excuse me!"
"And what's worse, you don't even have banana juice!"
"Doctor," She sighed in exasperation, "They don't have banana juice."
"Well they should." He huffed. He glanced around the kitchen quickly and threw his hands up, "And you could at least have real bananas."
"No one exactly gave me the memo that a part human, part Time Lord with an insane love for bananas would be living with me." She retorted.
The Doctor dead panned and the couple was soon locked in an intense stare.
He cleared his throat, shaking his head, breaking the Tyler stare he had seen so many times on Jackie Tyler's face. "Well," He began, "Despite the lack of that memo, you should always have bananas around. Bananas are good."
A grin broke across her face which then spread to the Doctor and as he grinned at her, all in the same moment she was reminded of a different Doctor, one with short hair, big ears and stunning blue eyes, and also the Doctor she had fallen so deeply in love with, the one who bore that same grin and the same distaste for pears.
This Doctor, this human Doctor, had only been around for a week and it was moments like these that made her realize he'd always be her Doctor.
