Sweet Dreams, Ghost Girl

It had been a terribly long day for Tori Masters as she opened the doors to the mansion in Amity Park. Not only was attending a private school hard, but being the daughter of the Mayor of Amity Park wasn't easy either. Either she was dodging fans or she was dodging the press. Either way, it was Friday, and she didn't have any homework to do. It would feel so nice to just change into her regular clothes and hang out with Danny, Sam, and Tucker. But for some strange reason, she hadn't seen any of them all day.

"Well, I'll just call Danny and see if he's feeling sick today." She muttered to herself as she stepped into the mansion, the door swinging closed behind her. It was eerily quiet…Usually, the servants would greet her with kindness, and then she would go into the kitchen and chat with Francesca, the cook, while she made Tori a light snack of some celery and peanut butter with milk.

"Hello? Is anybody here?" Tori called out, her footsteps echoing in the lobby. Silence greeted her, and it sent chills down her spine. Feeling unsure, Tori started up for her father's bedroom, wondering if he was home at all.

"Dad? Daddy? Are you home?" She said softly as she placed her hand on the doorknob. In an instant, her ghost sense went off, the cold puff of air escaping her mouth. Without hesitation, Tori went ghost and phased into the bedroom.

Standing over her father's bed was a large ghost, his body looming and black, stars glittering all over him, like he was outer space itself. His eyes were red, like blood. There was a figure on the bed as well. It was Vlad!

"Hey! What did you do to my Dad?!" Tori yelled as her fists began to glow with bright pink ectoplasm. The ghost turned around to look at her, his red eyes focused on her own red eyes…

And Tori stopped dead in her tracks, her hands falling to her sides.

"Y-you? It can't be! Y-you're the one who…" She stuttered, her eyes wide with terror. The ghost smiled softly at her, his red gaze not leaving hers.

"Hello, Ghost Girl. I haven't seen you in a long time. You've gotten quite tall since I saw you last." He said in a melodious voice, but hidden behind it was malice. Pure malice.

"Daddy made you go away! He knew that you were a ghost! He knew that you fed off of the nightmares of children! You tormented me for so long…You made me afraid to go to sleep!" Tori said, her voice filled with childish terror. The smile never left the ghosts face as he continued to stare at her with interest.

"I never tormented you or the other children. I merely was keeping myself alive, much like you do. But you…You were another case. Your nightmares…They were so delicious. Filled to the brim with terror and fear. But like most things…I grew tired of childish nightmares. Now…I crave something else...I crave good dreams. Dreams filled with thoughts of happiness and bliss. I've seen what you dream. And they look delicious." He said in a soft, greedy tone. Instantly, Tori raised her fists and fired an ectoblast. It took off the ghost's arm completely, his arm vaporizing in the air with a hiss.

"My…You've gotten quite powerful. I've underestimated you, Ghost Girl." He said softly, not wincing in pain. As quickly as she had blasted it away, it grew back, good as new.

"But I'm afraid that you've underestimated me." He said, disappearing in a white haze. Alarmed at his sudden disappearance, Tori whirled around wildly, her eyes looking for the ghost. Suddenly, she felt a looming presence behind her as a clawed hand snaked in front of her face, glowing a light shade of blue. Before she could even get a shriek out, her eyes grew heavy in an instant, her world going dark. As she fell down, the ghost caught her in his arms and laid her down on the bed next to Vlad, placing a metallic helmet that matched Vlad's.

"Sweet dreams, Ghost Girl."
