The Cameron effect - part II
Foreman didn't think he had done anything wrong, she needed to learn
that life was a lesson.
Sure it was fine to be all wishy, washy, lovey, do the right thing, but
sometimes you needed to be taught a lesson.
He had felt like a brother to her, maybe a mentor, he was far more
Superior in intellect, he felt anyway. So yes this was a lesson, she should
suck it up and move on, after all some of the best lessons he had learnt
had come from 'friends'.
He liked Allison, he was glad she was part of the team, she contributed,
she had her place.
He didn't understand the attraction to House, but put it down to being
her thing, every woman had one and he had known a few women with
things.
He had worried about the 'date' though, worried as to what it would do
to the dynamic of the team, as well as Allison, not so much House he
could take care of himself. But Foreman felt he should have a chat about
the situation with him, part with some advise.
Well, that had passed, not much happened afterwards except the Stacey
Months, Cameron was focused through that period, she didn't give much
away, remained professional much to her credit.
The Chase thing had been so preposterous, it made him laugh, he
knew that Chase well was Chase, but he was surprised at Cameron, even
drugged up Cameron. Madness all of it, it made him laugh.
They had gotten on with things, then this had happened, what was her
problem?
She should know that House didn't give a rat's ass about their
Career, in this business, you had to power your own destiny, think of
yourself ultimately, he had been doing it all through school hadn't he.
He had submitted his article fair and square, get over it.
Then Foreman's world had nearly ended, he hadn't seen that coming, but
he had to do something. Again why were they so shocked, why was she,
he assessed his situation, his options were thus and he took action. He
had stuck her with the needle, the dirty needle.
Right lets see where all your wishy, washy, lovey, do the right thing
gets you now. This was serious people his life was on the line here.
They got his Dad, Foreman wasn't sure how he felt about that, really,
then the day had come. The day of reckoning, he had to make a decision,
who would do the right thing, the right thing by him.
He knew immediately, but had he pushed her to far, had he taught her a
lesson and had she learned it well?
Cameron had surpassed herself, she had pushed for what he wanted, she
had argued with House. Even put her life on the line for him, made a
Choice. Yes the surgery had left him with what, a limp an unusable side.
Ha! the irony, but his life had changed, he had changed, he saw his life,
confronted his death and made peace with it all.
He accepted that she was still mad, he accepted that House couldn't get
over the new Foreman, he accepted that Chase didn't really care.
Because Foreman didn't think he'd done anything wrong.
