Everything seemed poisoned.
The filthy dirty ground beneath her scraped knees, the suffocating air that choked her sobs, the footsteps of the nearing soldiers, and now the wounded guy in her arms.
"Harry, I'm sorry."
Her once bright blue eyes were dull and faded, and the gate way to her soul was broken and bent.
"harry, fly, let's fly away again. Please, fly! Please!"
Now, in the last moments of his life, the bleeding wound turned black and poisoned as she cried into his ripped orange shirt and felt the red pool bleed through his clothes to her own, soaking her skin with the remains of his life.
She wished that could happened, just like before. Him and her.
How she desperately wished it would happen, because he was just a boy with the weight of the world slipping off his dying shoulders.
He never asked or deserved any of this.
Hermione screamed as she heard the sound of nearing footsteps. Each noise tore her senses apart, blurring the world that she loathed right now. The world was spinning, and she felt everything come to a speeding halt when she couldn't feel his pulse, and that tiny beat was all she needed to be alright again. Everything came to an end, including his heartbeat, as the first rays of light appeared and the shadow golden crown stood in the distance
Now, this was the end, and she could do nothing about it. For the oasis bottle was as empty as the pity in this war and it was too late.
She prayed.
She screamed.
She mourned.
Nothing was worse than this. The sun peaked over the moon that had kept her alive, and she knew the ecplise that was supposed to help them win, failed.
Failed. The word stabbed her heart like the arrow in this boy's chest.
"Anywhere, let's go anywhere but here, Harry, please."
Anywhere else where the corpse of a dead seventeen year old man and the painful tears of a water bender don't exist.
Anywhere but here.
"Harry I will always Love you" hermione soobed
