Weiss glanced over the mission profile again. "You said you were bringing in some help," he reminded Kendall. "Who exactly is it?" Vaughn, Sydney and Jack Bristow all stared at Kendall expectantly.
Kendall sighed. "Several years ago, we sent a covert ops mission into Peru. The chopper was gunned down before it reached its destination and all the men presumed lost. In reality, one survived, a Captain James Ellison, now Detective Ellison of the Cascade Police Department."
"He's CIA?" Sydney asked in clarification.
"He was the military liaison to the CIA. We've reactivated his status."
"Does he agree to help us?"
"He has no choice." Kendall began handing out a file to each person present at the briefing. "A few years ago his partner, then a graduate student in anthropology at Rainier University published what was later claimed to be a fraudulent document detailing Ellison's hyperactive senses. While the public believes what Mr. Sandburg claimed, we know that Ellison truly possesses these heightened abilities."
"He's the one who took down Brackett," Vaughn murmured.
"Yeah I heard about that," Weiss agreed. "I know the CIA had been looking for Brackett for years."
"Right," Kendall said. "Ellison caught him because of his hyperactive senses. He'll be a valuable asset to our operation. Perhaps now we'll be able to locate and capture both Mr. Sark and Mr. Sloane before they cause even more trouble..." he finished pointedly. He started to leave the conference room but stopped at the doorway, "And by the way, Ellison's partner will be joining us as well."
