A/N: I've been addicted to SoRiku lately, and got the urge to write this drabble at 3am last night. x3
Disclaimer: They aren't mine.
Sora turned his head to snuggle in the warmth of the fleece blanket, exhaling happily as it kept out the bite of the falling dusk. Nights on the island were chilly.
"No falling asleep yet." Riku nudged him lightly. Sora ignored him and instead wrapped the blanket more firmly around them. It draped over Riku's broad shoulders and formed a tent around Sora, keeping him warm and making him drowsy.
"But Riiiikuuu," Sora whined. He paused for a long yawn. "I'm sleepy…"
"Just a couple more minutes, Sora," Riku whispered, tightening his arms around the brunet. "Look, the sun's going down."
"But we can watch the sunset any night," Sora grumbled, eyes beginning to close. He leaned back into Riku, falling asleep to the rhythm of his heart.
Riku said nothing, resting his chin on the top of Sora's head. The sun was halfway set, sky flooded with pink and orange. They could see the sunset perfectly from their spot on the beach, huddled under their blanket, toes curled in the sand.
Sora stirred, voice barely a whisper.
"My feet are cold…"
Smiling, Riku shifted so Sora was curled entirely in the blanket. He rubbed Sora's freezing feet, causing the brunet to giggle and burrow further into Riku's chest.
The sun was barely there anymore, just thin rays over the surface of the calm ocean. Sora felt himself slipping away, unable to stay awake any longer.
Riku knew Sora fell asleep almost immediately after the sun went down, and made sure the boy was comfortable before he had to carry him all the way back home. He kissed Sora on the forehead. "Love you."
"Mm... me too," he mumbled back, face muffled in the blanket and Riku's jacket.
He was asleep in three minutes.
