It's been a few months ever since the death of my mother. I've been holding out for quite a while. At least I'm able to spend some time with Kukiko. I finish up with the final house chore, cooking. I made some delicious sea prunes and some fish. I even cooked a fish for Kukiko. I walk outside and go around my house to see my giant wolf lying there on her warm blanket. I lay the plate of fish right in front of her and of course waterbend some water for her. She looks at me with her crystal blue eyes saying that she misses mom. I could tell by her expression of pain and sorrow but also a little happiness. I smile at her and walk back inside my house.I set down the sea prunes and fish on the table. I waterbend some fresh water and set it inside one of my cups. I sit down, lonely, wanting my mother or someone with me. I eat my sea prunes and fish and i thought it tasted just like my mother made it. I wash my dishes and clean up my table. "Eya! You there?" a voice yelled. I knew that it was one of my good friends Airi. She is my childhood friend and I have no idea what I'll do without her.I walk outside and I see her standing there. Her red ruby eyes staring at me. She has beautiful brown hair and she has an elk named Hikaru. She has him all saddled up and ready for a ride. "You wanna go for a ride?" she said as Hikaru stomped on the floor. I look at Kukiko. She nods and stands up."Sure!" I said as Kukiko lays down before me. I get on her back and she rises and walks over to Hikaru. "Lets go!" said Airi and she squeezes Hikaru's sides. Kukiko runs off to meet up with him. We ride through the forest and in a dark tunnel. I can hear Hikaru's hooves beat the ice as we gallop through. I look up and I see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Both of us race through and we race out on a fresh pasture of grass. I look down at Kukiko as her eyes glow a bright blue. I figured that she must have opened a portal to somewhere around the Earth Kingdom. I look around and see the beautiful mountains reach the sky. We come to a halt and we get off our animals."Isn't this the most beautiful place you've ever seen? And even after the war with the Fire Nation, it looks amazing!" Airi said."Yeah, the last time I was here was before my mother died. She'd always take me here so we could play or even practice waterbending. I suppose my mother gave Kukiko the power to get here." I said."Well, I'll challenge you to a waterbending battle!!" said Airi."You are so on!" I said back.We both get into waterbending positions and I see that Airi opens her waterskin. I do so as well. Airi swings her arms around her head and a thin strip of water comes out. She makes it twist around her and splashes it right towards me. I gather myself and I freeze it with my breath. I bring my arms up and swing my arms from left to right. A stream of water forms and I turn it into a water whip. Airi gathers some water and she waterbends three huge groups of water right towards me. I drop the water whip and as the water Airi sent me comes together, I take a breath and push my hand right into the water. A blast of water arches up and then I put my hands down and dissolve the water. I gather water quickly and freeze Airi. "Oh...alright, you win. As usual!" said Airi as she laughs.I brings my hands together and bring them down by my sides. The ice unfreezes. "Your an amazing waterbender!" said Airi. We both look at the sun's position and we figured that we should be heading home. We both call our animals and ride home. Once we got back to our home, I said goodbye to Airi. I look up at the sky and the moonlight lit the Northern Water Tribe. I walk in my house and got into bed.
