A/N: Written for the Yuki Yuna is a Bingo (Flash), #048 - drop.

Mental Fatigue

She's always tired now. Taisha is changing the aptitude tests and they'll be different, and the girls who fight will be different, and the way of fighting will be different and she'll be the headliner of it all.

They don't fight with their bodies anymore. They don't pay with their bodies anymore. It's more that their minds take on a new body, made from the very same substance as the enemies they fight, and the mind transfers between the two. There are prices, of course. Prices that need to be paid for the powers. But they're not paid in body either. Just in mind, and in a way that doesn't necessarily matter. It just means the Yuki Yuna in the other world and the Yuki Yuna here don't have the same sets of memories. They each have the ones relevant to them. The other one has the fighting memories, during the fighting times. This one has school and her friends and all the other stuff.

And then there's the tiredness, though she doesn't know whether it's because there's no help in this interim or because of the seperation between body and soul causes an extra drain.

Still, she'd rather drop her head on her desk or flop onto the bed and later gorge herself on snacks and sweet things than what it had been like before.
