Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, but I do own the plot and the plot bunny that came with it.
Time, Sho believed, was objective. It could speed by in a blink of an eye or crawl by in a painfully slow. All of this depended on the situation the person was place in. But one thing about time was certain, that it moved forwards and not backwards. No matter how hard you wished or complained, time would not reverse itself.
At least that's what she had thought.
The teenager's conception was shattered the day she went over to her friend's house. It had seemed like a normal enough day when she had received a call from the excited male. When she questioned his enthusiasm he insisted that she come over right away, rather than him telling her over the phone. Sho replied that she would be over soon and disconnected the call.
The grey-eyed girl took a moment to fix her short hair and grabbed a grey mini-messenger bag and keys, then headed out. The weather had been fairly warm, hinting at the beginning of summer, and the blue sky was clear of any clouds. After pausing for a moment she decided to walk to from her apartment to her friend's in order to take full advantage of the good weather.
In a few minutes the girl arrived in front a large apartment complex with a wrought iron gate in the front. Above the gate, written in flowing script, the words Kohona Heights. She eyed the overly elaborate sign before pulling out a spare set of keys to her friend's apartment and unlocking the gate. The well-oiled hinges of the gate swung open without a sound and she entered, allowing the gate to close and lock behind her with a small clang. Sho walked across the light tan cement pathway that split a perfectly green manicured lawn and entered through the main doors.
The first floor of the apartment complex was mainly made up of small stores and a laundry area. There were a few residents milling around and browsing through the stores as the owners urged them buy one thing or another.
On the other side of the floor was an elevator with another wrought iron gate in front of it. Sho walked briskly over to the elevator and inserted the key that she had first used and opened the gate. She then pressed the button on the side to open the door and go up. Once she entered the elevator you looked at the panel on the side, instead of buttons there were keyholes. She inserted another key into the third floor and the elevator headed up silently.
The elevator stopped smoothly with a ding and the doors slid open. She took a moment to adjust the strap on her bag before leaving the elevator and entering the hallway. The hallway contained only two doors, one to the right and one two the left, indicating that there were two rather spacious lofts on the floor.
She walked over to the door on the right. The aforementioned door had been painted a rather bright shade of orange that contrasted sharply with the elegant peach wall. The teen smiled at the out of place object and raised a hand in order to knock sharply on the entryway.
"Come in! The door is open!" A muffled voice shouted with a loud thump following afterwards.
She sighed at the sound and shook her head slightly before grabbing the gold doorknob and slipping in.
The pieces had been set in motion. Time would move on unceasingly in order end what had started. Then it would begin to do what she firmly believed it could never do. It started to turn backwards and all because she had entered the room labeled Uzumaki, Naruto.
