1000 Words
"Brown crayon, please," she said as she set down the yellow one.
"Brown crayon," he repeated, watching her as she made the strokes.
Her pale hands held the color as they glided across the page.
"Is it almost done?" he asked.
"One final touch," she replied.
She reached for the blue crayon and outlined the eyes, giving them full life.
"I'm finished," she said sincerely. She handed the sketchbook to him, showing him the finished portrait.
He held the sketchbook in his hands, observing every little detail. 1000 words could describe the picture, but only one seemed to fit: perfect.
