It was another beautiful, quiet morning in the kingdom. Yurri was out on a ride with Conrad and Wolfram, leaving Gunter alone in the castle. Just the way he liked it. He decided to take this opportunity to get some work done. God knows his King had probably left most of the paperwork to him. He sighed, and began to go through the massive pile on his desk. The sun rose higher and higher as he worked. It was afternoon when his office door was flung open by an eccentric Guther.

"Good Afternoon!" Gunter bustled around Gwendal's office, humming a dainty little tune as he watered the flowers he had placed there earlier. Gwendal sighed. He knew the peace wouldn't last forever. His eye twitched as Gunters tune continued. He ignored Gunter as long as possible, but as long as possible couldn't last forever. Finally he snapped, slamming his quill down on his desk.

"Can't you take those somewhere else?" he growled.

Gunter blinked and glanced over at Gwendal.

"But…don't you like the smell?"

Gwendal grunted, closing his eyes and turning his head back to his work. Gunter couldn't take a hint however, and Gwendal's eyes flashed open as a handful of flowers were thrust under his nose.

"But Gwendal, don't they smell heavenly?" Whined Gunter from where he now perched on Gwendel's desk, his violet eyes beseeching.

Gwendal looked up into Gunter's shining eyes, surprised at his sudden closeness.

"Well…it does smell nice…" he muttered finally. However it was debatable if this statement was about the flowers, as he was absentmindedly observing the way Gunter's long hair framed his face. Gwendal hadn't noticed it before, but he liked the way it looked, all soft and silky. Gwendal felt a strange desire to touch it, to run his finger through it.

Gunter smiled. "I thought you'd think so…that's why I brought them in."

"How…thoughtful of you." Said Gwendal, unable to tear his eyes away from Gunter's lush looking lips.

Much to Gwendal's dismay and immediate displeasure, Gunter slid off his desk and started walking to the door. "Well I'll leave them in your care…don't forget to water them."

Gwendal wrestled with himself for a moment then leapt up and hurried after Gunter, grabbing his arm. "Wait!"

Gunter turned, smiling innocently. "Yes?"

Gunter hesitated for a second, then took a deep breath and swallowed his throat feeling suddenly dry.

"I want to…thank you properly..." He leaned forward and gently pressed his lips against Gunter's. He drew back blushing slightly. Seeing Gunters surprised expression, a wave of horror came over him as he realized what he had done. Gunter didn't like him, what had he been thinking? He stammered an apology, turning to go sit back down.

However, Gunter suddenly grabbed him and spun him around, leaning up to kiss him passionately.

(Later that night)

Gunter lay wrapped in Gwendal's long arms, his head on his chest.

"I've been waiting for that to happen for a long time…" Gunter admitted softly.

Gwendal smiled and smoothed Gunter's hair back from his still sweaty brow. "So have I."
