This is my first fic so don't be overly mean :) This is something I'v had laying around for ages... enjoy!

Oh before I forget I do not own Naruto or any of the characters and if I maul them or horribly distort them... well then you can maim me if you ever run into me on the street.

Departure

Ino shouldered her duffle bag and placed her hand on the knob of the front door.

"I promise I'll be back in three days at the most."

Sakura sighed and her gaze fell to the hardwood floor.

"I know but I'll miss you."

Ino turned and placed her hand under the pink haired woman's porcelain chin and lifted her head.

"Are you going to miss me or my cooking?"

Ino's attempt to lighten Sakura's mood seem to have failed as the said medic's lip trembled as if she was on the verge of crying. She flung her arms around the Blond haired woman's neck and burst into tears.

"Baka! Don't say things like that! I love you and I'm going to miss you."

Ino's bag fell to the floor as her arms pulled Sakura's body closer and ran a hand soothingly along her back.

"Forehead I'm sorry, I was kidding you know. I love you and I'll miss but it's only three days. It'll be over before you know it. And when I get back we can do something special."

Sakura sniffled and pressed her face into Ino's neck. "Piggy promise? If you break it you might turn into a real pig Ino pig."

Ino smiled. "I piggy promise."

Sakura pulled back from the embrace and wipe her eyes. Her tears were replaced with a confidant grin. "Well I wont keep you waiting any longer. The sooner you finish the sooner you can come home."

Blue eyes shined with love as Ino gave Sakura a chaste kiss before nipping her on the ear.

"Get going before we end up on the coffee table again and the creeper from next door comes over again to borrow some water again. I'd swear the only reason the bastard comes over here to get water is to perv on us. I mean come on the freak must have running water in his apartment. the excuse I ran out doesn't really make sense to me."

The blond haired ninja smirked. "I'm hot, you're hot, It'd be hot... but I have no time. Oh before I forget and you try to burn the house down I made some food and I left in in the fridge. Order take out if you don't like it or run out. Swear you won't cook."

"I swear. I love you."

"I love you too."

With one last smile and wave Ino left and pulled the door shut after her.

Sakura smiled softly. Ino really was a caring person, or maybe just very reluctant to let her cook(aka burn the house down or poison herself). Whatever the reason The pink haired woman decided that like any good ninja Ino needed to be rewarded when she got home.

Omake

Ino comes home to find Sakura at the door to their apartment.

Sakura: Ino there is something I have to tell

Ino: baby you can tell me anything.

Sakura: I know but... ok come here. opens the front door and bolts down the hallway to the stairs while leaving Ino to peer inside the apartment

Ino: sees nothing but a charred room with the back wall burned through so a clear view of outside was available and the creeper from next door is on the building across from them with his binoculars SAKURA YOU COOKED!!
