Three Worlds

PERCY POV

I was walking towards Annabeth's apartment because I was going to surprise her by bringing her out for lunch today. I strolled into the elevator while trying to suppress a grin. Annabeth always had this type of effect on me. Wow, I've fallen for her hard, I thought. I rang the doorbell and waited anxiously. I rang two more times. She didn't answer. I started worrying that she had been kidnapped before I heard her sweet laughter reach my ears. I turned around and discovered that she was walking and talking with another guy. A jolt of red hot anger coursed through my body. I was about to turn and leave when Annabeth spotted me. "Percy, why are you here? Is something wrong?" Annabeth frowned and she turned to face towards me. "No, nothing's wrong" I said, trying to keep the jealousy out of my voice "just dropping by,".

"Oh, well, while you're here I need to introduce you to Marcus," Said Annabeth as she gestured to the guy next to her. I sent a stiff nod in his direction. He seemed to not notice how stiff I was and simply replied with a "How are you, dude?". So this was the type of guy Annabeth liked now, carefree, laidback. Annabeth beckoned for us to come inside her apartment.

"Is this, Seaw-" Magnus asked

"Yes," Annabeth cutting off Magnus, her face turned light pink.

"Oh, so you're the guy my cousin is dating?" Magnus questioned while he turned to me.

"Cousin?" I asked while all the anger I had was replaced with confusion.

"Yeah, Magnus Chase, cousin of Annabeth, and you are P-"

"I'm Percy Jackson"

"Aka, Seaweed Brain, eh?"

Annabeth and I both blushed. "Yeah, I'm Annabeth's boyfriend" I replied my face slowly turning pink.

After chatting with Magnus for a bit, he seemed like a really cool dude. He told me that he was planning on bringing Annabeth to lunch and asked if I wanted to come too. I said yes, and an hour later I found myself at a falafel place. We munched on our food before Annabeth said "Spill" to Magnus. Magnus nodded and shifted around in his chair uncomfortably before starting to tell us his story.
