Prologue

It was a long day for Ted Mosby. It used to be a piece of cake, a walk in the park whatever you want to call it for a half day lecture. Now it doesn't feel that way anymore. "I'm getting older," he said while lying down over his queen size bed that had been his alone without any other person been on it, except for the kids. Sometimes Penny is afraid of the thunder or Luke thought he saw a giant red eyes monster under his bed. It had been years since his wife died. How he had miss her. So much. How everyday he wished that she would here with him for the last time. He had this one story he wanted to tell. A story he just could not tell his kids or his friends. How his life had been since she was gone. How sometimes things were good and sometimes bad. But there is this one secret that he really needs to tell someone, someone who knew him for a long time but not his friends or kids. of course he was once tried to tell the story to his student but they just walked out from him, at the time when he reached the best part. Oh well. They might had something better do, but other than hear my story? I will make sure they get an F on their next paper. Anyway, he just continued lying there, looking at the white wash colored ceiling and the weird looking lamp bulb which he noticed the shaped after he finished renovating the house a few years later. He tried to complain to the light company but the warranty only lasted for a year. "It's okay, honey, it's not that weird, maybe a little like...a penis shaped, but hey who's going to see it anyway because it's inside our bedroom and no one other than us will be seeing it," Well, she was wrong. Later that day Marshall and Lily kept making jokes about it. Crap. I knew I need to locked up the bedroom when they came to visit. Okay it seems that i went out of topic a bit. "I miss you, Tracy," he muttered before he finally fall asleep.
