Introduction

There's many ways to begin a story, but I think this one is best started with a certain family's history.

In the Pureblood society there was always one family that was thought to be the weirdest. Yes, they were even more odd than the loony Lovegoods. They were a family that cared about one thing and only one thing.

Money.

That's it. Not family, or blood superiority, or even magical talent.

Money was the only thing that the Howse family cared about and that's how they liked it. They married for money not love. They found some one that cared about money as much as them and got married. They raised their children to be like them and only care about money. If they didn't grow up that way, then they were disowned.

Now we could go on and on about their money-grubbing ways and their amazingly pure blood line, but instead lets zone in on one particular part of the infamous Howse family.

Charles Howse married to Ava Howse and their children Bethany (Howse) Huxtable and London Howse. Well I suppose our story only revolves around two of them for poor Bethany was disowned after marrying for love instead of money.

Then there's Charles Howse. I'm not sure if he was an honest man or an evil man, but for sure he was a greedy man. However greed was not what killed him, but an accidental explosion at his business (broom factory).

Leaving only Ava and London Howse. Ava was not a nurturing mother or even a caring spouse so after the death of her husband the only thing she did was look for a new (rich) man.

London was, well what you would expect from the Howse family. She helped people only if they paid her, she would save you from bullies if you promised her money, she wouldn't rat you out if you slipped her a bag of coins and she would somehow always be there when you thought about asking someone for help.

Then again that was the old London, the money-grubbing London, the cold London. If you're wondering if it was her father's death that changed her, then …...your dead wrong.

This isn't a fast paced romantic comedy. It's a slow going story of a girl changing her ways and learning to adapt to the cruel world that lays beyond the safety of Hogwarts.

Will she fall in love?

Let's hope so.
