When Hagrid reported back to Albus after he had dropped Harry back off with the Dursley's the very first time they met, Albus was horrified.
Hagrid described everything the Dursley's had said and done with quite a degree of distaste.
As soon as the words 'stamp it out of him' had left Hagrid lips Albus was making plans to move Harry as far away from the Dursley's as possible.
All he could think of was how the muggle boy's that had tortured his sister had tried to stamp the magic out of her, and how she had turned out because of them.
He felt sick to his stomach that little Harry Potter had had to endure years of this.
Only the very real fact that Harry was safest from magical harm at his aunts home stopped him from taking the boy away from them immediately.
Albus decided that if he heard of one more cruelty committed by the Dursley's he would pay them a visit himself.
Unfortunately for him, Harry rarely spoke to anybody about his mistreatment at the Dursley's.
So he was left there.
With nobody knowing how much he really suffered.
Or how close he could have come to being just like Albus' poor mad little sister.
