Katie was used to Trip's eating habits. She was used to watching him gobble down an extra large pizza in one sitting and then ask for seconds. She was used to Jen swatting his hand (more than once) before meals because he was trying to sneak himself a serving before everyone else was there. However, watching him eat cotton candy had been something new.

It'd just... disappeared. Trip had always eaten in big bites, but this time he went at it with a ferocity she'd only seen in those old zombie movies Wes had made them watch: one second he was going on about how good it looked, the next he was going on about how good it had been.

But, occasionally disturbing eating habits aside... it had been cute. Trip ate with an enthusiasm she rarely saw in him (but always wanted to see more of). He laughed, he smiled... two things Trip definitely need more of in his life, Katie mused as she took a bit of her own cotton candy--

Except it was gone.

Because it was currently between Trip's teeth.

"You didn't look to into your helping, and I was still hungry, so I thought I'd help myself to a little nibble?" The spun sugar made Trip's voice sound muffled.

Katie loomed over him, glowering. "You," she began as she pointed what was left of her share at him, "are very lucky you're cute when your mouth is full."

"Oh, well, thank you--"

"That doesn't mean I'm letting you off the hook, though."

Katie ignored Trip's muffled yelp as she struck, eating as much as she could as fast as she could... which apparently was so fast that she didn't realized her lips were pressed against his until it was too late.

She pulled back. "Um, I--"

"No, it's okay." His hair was green, his face was red, and there were bits of pink cotton candy near his mouth-- Trip was a living study in how colors clashed. "I just... I'm feeling guilty but I'm still hungry too... so I'd though I'd get us some more cotton candy?"

... Oh. "Um, yeah, just let me give you some money for my share--"

"Actually, Katie..." There was more red than green or pink now. "I was thinking about getting just one. So we could, y'know, share?"

... Oh. She felt herself grin. "Sharing sounds great."
