Summary: Aiden says goodbye to his lover in the midst of the siege on Atlantis.
Author's Note: Because the season finale left us all staring blankly at our screens until we realized that "Battlestar Galactica" was on…No? Just me?
"Major!"
John Sheppard stopped and turned, impatient. "What?" He snapped. Aiden Ford ran up to his commanding officer and, without missing a beat, grabbed him and kissed him.
Aiden's long, slender fingers gripped the short hairs at the nape of John's neck. The brim of his cap hit John's forehead, making it tilt up off Aiden's dark curls.
John froze for a moment, surprised, then snaked one arm around the Marine's waist and removed the hat with his other hand, letting it drop to the floor. Their tongues wrestled passionately for dominance as John pressed Aiden against the wall, pinning the lithe lieutenant with his body. Aiden finally allowed John's tongue full access to his mouth, which the major took advantage of. John quickly tasted the delectable mouth that he had only recently memorized, but could not get enough of.
The rough embrace broke slowly, with lingering kisses that held the tenderness they often expressed in private. John gazed into the soft, bottomless ebony eyes that he adored. Both men gasped for air.
"That all?" John finally whispered breathlessly.
"No," Aiden replied softly after a moment and touched the side of John's face. "Give 'em hell, John." Sheppard smiled and turned his head in Aiden's palm to kiss it.
"You too," John leaned into Aiden's hand and then slid his own fingers around from the back of the younger man's neck to his full lips. They remained like that for a moment before John broke the silence. "See you later?" Aiden slowly kissed the pads of John's fingers, then his lips again, lightly this time.
"See you later."
