Death of your parents

There was torrential rain pouring from the sky as the sun broke the clouds. I was not in bed, snoring, I was staring out of my bedroom window.
Little did I know they would come that day. I remember it so clearly it still hurts.
A ranger, no two, came knocking. They accused my dad of treason. Then my parents fought back. I came downstairs to find them together even in death...
I was blind with sadness and hate at that point. I mean, how many of you have seen your parents die when you are only 8? The older ranger looked at me then raised his arm to ward off punches. I kicked him in the groin while still punching and the younger one grimaced. I allowed myself a mirthless smirk. As I looked at my parents and at the arrows in and in the men's quiver, I felt like someone had kicked me as I realised that the older one had shot my dad, and the younger one my mum.
I broke down at that moment and cried over my parents bodies. Suddenly, they both started up the stairs; I was to blind with tears to notice as I cried my grief only intensified in both strength and durability. Swallowing hard, I tried to get my river of tears to stop streaming onto my rags.
Then they came downstairs with my beloved sister.
"No!"I screamed, "You can't kill her too!"One of them, I was to sad to care, replied ,"We are taking her to the Ward. You can come to, it is safe and you get to be an apprentice when you are 15." He smiled encouragingly.
I spat at his feet in reply. Then I hugged my sister close and whispered, "Stay safe," My sister was the most precious gift in the world to me now and even though I loved her dearly, I just could not bring myself to accept I was an orphan.
After I had said goodbye they left with her and I packed all my worldly belongings and headed to our old, beloved house on the outskirts of town...
