It is clear why we are all here.
Well, maybe not all of you, but most people here spend their nights like this:
Reading new fanfictions again and again, review, and call for more, and always more and more, because we can never get enough.
These stories, where you can be whoever it is you want to be, we take to escape from the real world, where everybody is a nobody and you're bored by reality until you die.
And that is the real reason why there is this website at all. We are all so lonely, so DESPERATE, that we need to read the most anticipated desires and fantasies of others, just to know that there are other people who would also rather live in the world of Harry Potter or Batman or whatever other perfect fantasy world, as in this dirty, cruel and dying reality.
I know that some might not understand what I'm talking about, but those among you who can...
Who spend lonely hours also imaginating how they could live in antoher world? How you would talk to you beloved, unreachable favourite characters and live beside them, fight on their side?
It tears us apart and draws us ever more deeply into the world of fantasy, pushing further away from everything else, down to the very bottom of our soul.
This may sound exaggerated, but sometimes I really feel that way. One reads and reads, writes for himself, hopes and dreams. Side by side we hunt monsters with the secret role model, imagine our bodies strong and perfect and ourselves smart and brave and incredibly cool, the kind of person who everybody loves and envies, just as the fictional figures.
We read a fanfiction and think: That´s exactly what I always dream about. That something happenes to me, that I ... get in this world by a magic spell or something, and meet those people.
But as beautiful fantasy and fantasizing is, it really braked something.
We forget that we ourselves are human, and the way we are.
Not some beautiful, hot super cool Fight - Assassines, but just as we are like we are loved by real people around us. (Although they are not so many and not Harry Potter... or of which you dream) That is something we should just accept. Nothing against dreams or desires, but we must not get lost in them.
Otherwise we lose ourselves.
And who are we then?
